Young man that used to update on MN

Around when I first joined MN - penis beaker brought me here - I saw a thread on here from a young man that was moving out and he was showing off photos of his new room, it was decorated in blue and clouds maybe, and his name was possibly Peter.

I think he was maybe on the spectrum or hearing impared. I can't rememeber exactly, so forgive me if I get details wrong.

He used to update with what he was getting upto in life. Anyway, I sometimes wonder about him and how he is getting on. Does anyone know who I mean and can link his last thread or tell us how he's doing?

I'm off out in a few mins so may not be back for a bit.

There was a thread years ago that turned into a bun fight, posters thought it was a safe guarding issue how easy it was to find him in rl on fb etc wasn't very pleasant. I haven't seen his mum post much about him since .

Does anyone remember SP? She was a prolific poster about her LO and with names like SPsSpaffinallovermumnsnet and things like that. I wonder where she went.

Wilf is always on Facebook in the bargain group posting Percy pig stuff he finds. Also sometimes posts in family lowdown group.

Wilf's mum is still around. She's on the Strictly Come Dancing threads and comments which dances Wilf likes

Hi. I am Wilfs Mum.. I don't post much about him on here now as there was an absolutely vile thread on another site implying that I was posting pretending to be him.

I remember her - she was very funny. Another nasty bunfight ensued, though, IIRC. She sensibly withdrew from MN, under that username anyway, for her own peace of mind. Namechanging is useful in these cases.

I see Wilf on another group and he has sent me a couple of messages too.
He seems really well and to be loving life, I miss his posts and it’s a shame a few people were so awful

Aww, Wilf’s a local legend here (I won’t mention were obvs) but his BSL and Makaton Christmas countdown is superb, and of course all of his local adventures and raising awareness. I follow him on fb and he certainly lives an exciting life!

@Elderflower14 im glad Wilf is doing well! I’ve NCd lots but we’ve spoken before. I have my own 1yo Wilf now and your lovely boy was part of the inspiration for his name :)

I'm sure you know but Wilf was named after Wilfred Owen. We also wanted an old fashioned name. I told my husband I wanted a death column name... He was horrified until I explained. When I rang my Mum to tell her I thought we had been cut off... She said she would have to get used to the name!
The really spooky thing is we didn't know Wilf was deaf until he was two.. The first man my husband worked for after he left school was a deaf man called Wilfred,!!
