Weird rash - can anyone recognise this and suggest what I can try?

Hello I have got this weird, insanely itchy skin rash on the back of my hand. Pic attached.

Can anyone identify this? No GP appointments available.

I’ve tried an anti fungal cream and an antihistamine cream. Antihistamine cream gives some relief but not for long. What’s really concerning me is that it’s spreading and I have no idea what it is and why it’s just that patch only although at this rate of spread that might not be for long 🙈.

Looks a bit like hives to me. I had this once on my legs, it was so itchy, drove me insane. I took some antihistamines and it went in a few days.

Looks like scabies to me.

I'd get that to the pharmacist to take a gander. It looks awful. Sorry op, hope you get some relief soon.

Could be shingles? Rare on hands alone but is possible

Damnspot · 25/05/2023 21:14

It looks like one of those rashes when plant sap reacts with sunlight

PimpMyFridge · 25/05/2023 21:15

The way the blisters are in lines makes me think scabies.

Damnspot · 25/05/2023 21:15

Or hand foot and mouth?

It looks like shingles

sweetcarolinedadada · 25/05/2023 21:23

Are those soft skin like bumps or like blisters?

PiffleIsTakingThePiss · 25/05/2023 21:25

I agree with Damnspot. It looks exactly like a brush with something like Hogweed or similar. Is that at all possible OP?

ThePharmacistWillSeeYouNow · 25/05/2023 21:27

Sorry I think it might be scabies, it’s rife in areas of the country at the moment.

DustyLee123 · 25/05/2023 21:28

For the itch try Eurax cream. It’s wonderful stuff.

brawhen · 25/05/2023 21:30

Have no idea what the rash is, but try antihistamine tablets (rather than cream) to help the itch. Just the hay-fever ones you can get in supermarket or chemist. Ceterizine or Loratadine.

CountingMareep · 25/05/2023 22:07

There is a type of eczema called ‘pompholyx’ which begins as intensely itchy blisters, and can be relatively easily treated with the right steroid cream. Take yourself to the GP if you can.

Spiderboy · 25/05/2023 22:08

Lots of random suggestions here OP - best option is probably to go the chemist ☺️ see what they recommend
