Wedding gift amount

I've been invited to the evening celebration of a couple's wedding. A good friend's partner's, best friend. I've spent a week with them in a group on holiday, and socialised maybe 3 or 4 times with the two couples.
I was really happy to be invited, like them very much.
Anyway, as is often the case, they live together, and have asked for holiday/honeymoon money or flight vouchers.
I'm going to get them some euros and package them up quirkily. How much though ??

Hmmm anywhere between €50-100? Depends what is affordable to you!

FredaFox · 25/05/2023 17:38

For an evening I'd say €50?
All day I'd say €100

Exactly what I would give too.

Are you going alone? For an all day invite I’d probably gift £50 (£100 for a couple). For an evening only then £30 (£50-60 for a couple but I’d round it up to £30 for a single).

But you do say euros… Is this Ireland? I understand in Ireland they are much more generous so maybe the previous posters are closer to the mark!!

Yes I'm going alone. And thank you, £50 is what I was thinking. Euros because they're going Greek Island hopping for honeymoon so it's a bit of spending money
