Weekend away

I need a weekend away. It'll be this weekend so very last minute. It's been a tough year and I need fresh air and a beautiful place to dust off and pick myself back up again. It needs to be dog friendly and have parking at the hotel/b&b or close to parking. I'm based in Northumberland and would prefer elsewhere for the weekend away but maybe only 2-3 hours drive max. Where would you go? I was thinking Whitby but it doesn't seem that dog friendly. Maybe the lakes but where? Maybe up to Edinburgh but that doesn't seem massively dog friendly either.

I would go on Airbnb and look within a 2-3 hour radius of where you live and see what’s still available. If you’re wanting hotel/b&b might be a bit trickier. If it was me, I’d want to go to Lindisfarne or the Penines or Dales. But it’s the bank holiday weekend and the start of half term most/if not all places. I would expect a lot will be booked up. But as it’s just you and the dog, you might be able to find a last minute deal for something that wouldn’t be suitable to families.
