I applied online on Monday and posted back my old passport Monday afternoon, My new passport was delivered this morning at 6am Shock

I also applied 2 weeks ago for DP and DSS and heard nothing back yet, so only DS and I are going on holiday atm Grin

Anyone else had such quick delivery?

I can't beat that, but mine took 5 days! I was absolutely gobsmacked, as it said it could take up to 10 weeks.

Mine was that quick when I renewed online a few years ago.

Yes it said up to 10 weeks, I was really pushing it with time but I had an accident and my face was smashed up so left it till as late as possible before getting my new pic done.

Mine came back within about 2 weeks recently (and this involved a query too). Online application
I’ve heard others having been turned around super quickly too

Summertimesmile · 25/05/2023 12:09

DD’s was 6 days which I thought was impressive

I got one in 4 days from abroad! It went through the official embassy system rather than post but it was a record for the office. It was processed by the Passport people within a few hours apparently.

CatsOnTheChair · 25/05/2023 12:14

Yes, we posted ours on a Sunday (from the Middle East) and got it back on the Thursday.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 25/05/2023 12:17

People kept telling me hurry up get it done as there are huge delays and i was pretty much reading the same online so I was panicking a bit!

@ZeroFuchsGiven You definitely win! I applied for a renewal online on a Sunday evening, posted the old one on Monday morning and had brand new passport delivered on the Friday! This was in April.
Thankfully it was so quick as I unexpectedly need to travel tomorrow for a funeral so would have been distraught if I couldn’t have gone because my passport wasn’t back.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 25/05/2023 13:02

Not passport, but I just got a DBS check back 36 hours after completing the identity checks!

IamSlave · 25/05/2023 13:04

@Summertimesmile was that after the strikes please and how old

My is 10 and needed extra paper work to confirm who she is and that was over two weeks and we've not heard anything but it was paper and had to be sent in

Bonjovispjs · 25/05/2023 13:06

Yeah, I got mine back in 3 days.
