I’m walking and cycling more, taking advantage of the canal and old railway tracks. Now I’m getting older, I’m getting more concerned about getting attacked especially as in recent times women have been set upon both on the canal and railway line. (Both times the offender ran off)
I want to get a personal alarm to hang on my clothes, probably a jacket zip. Do you think they are any good? Does anyone have any recommendations as there are loads out there and prices vary.
I’ve even seen one which is a ladybird and gives out a “realistic scream”.

I’ve bought this. We are also issued these at work (hospitality). Recommend by local police when I was attacked at 2pm on a busy industrial estate recently.

Nearly all the females at work attach one end to something like their belt loop or bra strap - so if it’s grabbed by an assailant it will automatically activate. The unit clips to either a pocket or collar of our uniform.

DD has a tiny whistle that's really shrill. It's the size of a pen lid but really slim. I think it's 3d printed by one of the kids in college. It hooks onto any zipper like a keyring and is practically invisible it's so small.
