What is the physical attribute that makes you go weak at the knees despite all evidence to the contrary?

Height for me. Over 6ft 2 of man and, although I can objectively see that I don't particularly find him attractive, the height just does something for me. It's a terrible weakness.

OP posts:

Chest hair and height over 6'4

As hairy as possible, thicker the better!

Werewolf?

SockGoddess · 24/05/2023 10:37

Muscly forearms
Big nose and "craggy" big features
Hiking boots and a wool jumper <faints>
Glasses
And the no. 1 - slightly crooked or uneven teeth. OMG. There's a school dad with these slightly wolf-like misaligned teeth and I always go funny when I see him. What the evolutionary advantage of this could be I can't imagine.

BigPussyEnergy · 24/05/2023 10:46

I like a stocky/chubby man, love chest hair and also back hair, hairy hands etc.

Basically a gorilla.

Last BF was about 5'5 and 16+ stone. Current squeeze is actually ludicrously skinny and tall, but has the body hair and a full head of it too, so I'm all good.

Love a man in glasses, quite fancy baldies too. I like slightly crooked teeth, as long as they're clean (and clashing teeth when we kiss turns me on!)

I'm pretty easy going on looks to be fair, its all about the special something.

I know it's just his shyness. He's a lot better than he used to be. I've seen girls checking him out.

@CuriousMama There was a boy like your son when I was studying, tall with dark hair and blue eyes, he was so shy and quiet. He actually had a slight stammer when talking sometimes. But he was SO dreamy, and he really didn't do too badly with girls. Sometimes shyness is also just fussiness, don't forget! Not necessarily a bad thing. He'll meet the right person.

I agree this is a heartwarming thread. One of the nice things about getting older is you see that different people genuinely find different things attractive, one of my mates has had three LTRs each with what I can only describe as a huge, not very bright but incredibly sweet guy. Another friend goes for women with huge thighs.

Myself and 2 friends are all dating at the moment and we have totally different types! One goes almost exclusively for muscly, preferably mixed race, older guys, one goes for fit sporty, well groomed tall men, and I basically fancy everyone else, fat, thin, bald, hairy Grin

And also nice to see how few women really give a toss about penis size or a perfect toned gym bod.

Almost want to show this to the guy I'm seeing as he lacks confidence, and he's been described in loads of these posts! However, I'll let him believe that he's lucky to have me Grin

IheartNiles · 24/05/2023 11:19

Some people haven’t read the title properly. Dark hair, blue eyes, chiselled, flat stomach is standard stuff and not ‘all evidence to the contrary’.

I like a man with a bit of chub, suggests a convivial nature and a love of life. But they have to be tall which goes against the thread title.

I like natural teeth with the canines that are slightly too big and a bit twisted. Ronan Keating ruined his lovely smile when he had the hideous false teeth stuck on.

No manscaping please. Nothing grimmer than a stubbly chest.

I really hate a big square jaw and bum chin. The Henry Cavills of the world can do one.

Penis size matters, god it matters. That's not the same as aesthetics...

cobden28 · 24/05/2023 11:23

Anyone over 6 ft tall isn't the man for me - I'd get a crick in my neck looking up at him (I'm 5 ft 5 ins tall).

My personal favourite is a nice, neatly trimmed BEARD - definitely some form of facial hair but only if neatly trimmed, please .

IheartNiles · 24/05/2023 11:23

Oh and I love a ginger, not too orange though. The man who played Steve Baldini in Keeping Faith….swoons.

Wombastic · 24/05/2023 11:27

Blue green eyes often seen in European people. With a tan of course

SoShallINever · 24/05/2023 11:31

Big hairy chunk of a man, strong arms, bit of facial hair, don't mind a tattoo, looks like he could build me a kitchen extension, twinkly eyes and holding a puppy under his arm.
Too specific?

BritInAus · 24/05/2023 11:50

I just thought of another. Not technically a physical attribute: but a woman in sporty/typically male underwear. A woman in lacy lingerie does absolutely nothing for me. But my wife in tight, boyshort style boxers and a plain vest. WOW.

As you say, almost, so not quite. most people visualise him with grey hair is he went grey ages ago.

Your mind went to Philip for some reason yet it describes millions of men with medium brown hair.

It was the reference to slim legs. Phil’s been in the news lately and I hasn’t noticed his scrawny legs before as I don’t watch This Yawning.

Blarn · 24/05/2023 15:07

Forearms and hands. Not exactly muscular but strong, and like a pp, I can't describe the hands but I swoon slightly when I see them!

Beezknees · 24/05/2023 15:09

Loads of tattoos. I have over 50 myself, so it's my "thing".

memoirsofatrespasser · 24/05/2023 15:24

Forearms. DH wore a white shirt with the sleeves rolled-up on our 3rd date. I can still remember the exact moment I saw him, waiting for me outside the tube station, and I knew we were definitely going to have sex that night 😁

😂and have you got a kitchen extension?

I find Henry Cavill’s brand of good looks particularly repellent. Especially in whichever Mission Impossible it was where he sported a moustache as well as stubble on his giant cleft chin.

thaegumathteth · 24/05/2023 16:39

Height, hairy muscular forearms and kind eyes

Abhannmor · 24/05/2023 16:44

Huntler · 23/05/2023 22:07

Dark hair and blue eyes. Am a sucker for that combination.

Move to Ireland then. The novelty might wear off though.

LongTermLurker · 24/05/2023 17:09

Totally agree with all you tooth freaks. I love slightly inward teeth, slightly crooked teeth, gappy teeth, and even slightly prominent teeth (like Denzel Washington). DH has gorgeous teeth - they're not exactly any of the above, but are also not American "denture" teeth.

Mmmm. Teeth. <Rubs thighs>

I also love a generous nose.

Crunchymum · 24/05/2023 17:18

A man who clenches his jaw muscles. Bit controversial as it's usually something done in anger (although it is also usually an unconscious reaction)
