Majorca for adults only

Hi we are looking for ideas on where to stay in Majorca in late sept / October. We are 5 adults, adult siblings plus in law mix. No kids! I haven't been to Majorca for years and have hazy but happy memories of it. Would love a few recommendations on the best areas to stay, preferably with pool, shops, beach and lovely little streets. Happy to travel a bit out of palma but we don't know where is best and will not be hiring cars. Thanks!

Ooh following. Me and DH are looking for somewhere to go in early October. Last time we went to Mallorca it was with the DC when they were small so it was all about the kids club. Would love to go back as just adults. It's a pretty island. Soller is meant to be nice, but not sure what is there.

Have a look at Santa Ponsa. It is a really lovely resort with lots of nice restaurants. Also after morning coffee at Tony’s Bar - centrally located - you can get a bus (lovely easy safe transport) to Peguera, Andraxt, Palma etc. I an older lady sole traveller and have had several lovely holidays there. I’m going again by myself in October. Lots to do and see as well as a lovely safe beach with lovely bars if you prefer a more relaxed break. X

Wow thank you that's interesting. I thought Santa ponsa was the clubbing / night life area. I'll have a look at reviews. I looked at Cala d'or, trip advisor reviews suggest it has more of the 'mature' vibe with predominately Spanish bars / businesses which is a preference. Definitely want to avoid a 'strip' of any kind :)

We stayed in Porto cristo it was gorgeous quiet though, and our hotel was aimed at French tourists but it was fine and hardly any children

Mrsjayy · 23/05/2023 20:47

Oh cala D'or is also nice .

trainplane · 23/05/2023 21:43

Thanks I'll check out Porto cristo.

We've just got back from Puerto Pollensa and it was lovely. All the restaurants were nice and we didn't have a bad meal. Don't know your budget but some of the hotels on the beach front were gorgeous and looked adults only.

Soller, port and town are lovely. Pollensa too

Portals Nous has some lovely small beaches. Close enough to Palma too.

Further afield Port de Soller is lovely too.

This is great thanks all, I'm going to bed with laptop to explore these. I remember being in Soller now and it was lovely. That adults only hotel looks fab...
