Amazon return

I need to return something to amazon. I'm having trouble finding somewhere to print the returns label. It's from a 3rd party seller so not Amazon themselves. I am not able to get to the library. I don't mind paying to return it but I'm worried they will claim they never got it, it's an expensive item . Is it too risky to send it back myself ?

Don't.
You need a barcode on your return label. They must receive hundreds, thousands of returns every day, without a barcode, it will be lost.

What about a neighbour?

You definitely need to print the label if that's the procedure for the return. With some returns you don't need a label but if you do - you need it.

Oh thanks both I won't risk it then

Is it going back to Amazon or directly to the 3rd party? If to Amazon, can you do a No Print return via Evri/ Post Office? If directly to 3rd party, you can probably just send yourself with a tracked/ signed for service like Evri. How valuable is the item?

CadburyDream · 23/05/2023 19:32

The address is a 3rd party. It was £200

Not with no barcode in the parcel she can't. Well she could but what happens when it gets there and it's unwrapped and it's just there in a warehouse somewhere? How will they know how to give her the money back?,

The post office might print it

purplecorkheart · 23/05/2023 19:40

Entirely depending where you live but some hotels have printers that you can pay to use or maybe a local library, or if there is a share work space type place then with some you can pop into reception and they will print at a tiny charge. Obviously any of these option or all may not be helpful so please do not take offence.

3rd party items often come with a delivery or returns note. If so, include this - but take a photo of it for your reference.
