The usual nappies, wipes, change of clothes, etc. I also carry headphones for music as I find they help my little one in new environments then I also carry emergency button kit (fed via a tube into the tummy), syringes for water, spare extension set, buccal midazolam and chloral hydrate plus any medications and flushes due while we are out and about. Just about the only thing that is mine in the bag is some hand gel, my purse and my phone.

MyFaceIsAnAONB · 23/05/2023 15:42

Nappies, wipes, water, apple, maybe some rice cakes, keys, wallet, phone, first aid pouch which is never used, old forgotten versions of the above, pouch of small toys and books

The fact only two things are yours is sweet. Super mama!
Do you have a diaper bag for all these or just a regular one?

The pouch full of small toys is really clever! I'll be adding some carriable toys to my wishlist now haha! Came across activity boards and they seem brilliant! If you're interested:

@gokarting Just a rucksack, one with a few zipped compartments so I can separate out the emergency stuff from the non urgent.

Ylvamoon · 23/05/2023 15:54

I used to have a regular backpack with nappies, wipes, handgel, nappy bags, spare clothes, small toy / book , tissues and first aid kit (snack & drink depending where I went)
If I remember rightly! 😁

Is this some sort of sponsored post?

MaryJean87 · 23/05/2023 15:58

With babies I used to carry a change of clothes and their food/ milk. Nappy changing stuff. Now my youngest is 5 I just carry my personal stuff in my handbag and buy whatever I need while we're out. Maybe I'll take wipes if its a day out. I can't be bothered and don't need to be lugging loads of things about anymore.

No, so sorry if it seemed like that.

Used to have a diaper bag but want to transition to a regular rucksack now that my son is a bit older and I was looking for mum hacks or just some important things I could carry with me that I might have forgotten. I'm not very organised by nature.

Pouch containing nappies, wipes, bags and a spare outfit. Straw cup. Sticker book and regular book. Rubber bib thing. Calpol and syringe. Few cars rolling around the bottom for when I'm really desperate.

Absolutely nothing for me 😂 I actually don't use a bag when I'm on my own - just phone and keys!

Beaniesmumsie · 23/05/2023 16:09

I have one in nappy and one recently toilet trained, I carry a nappy bag and my own handbag.

In nappy bag: changing mat, nappies, wipes, spare set of clothes for each kid, water, snacks

My bag: keys, wallet, tissues, pen, extra snacks, hand cream, hair ties

For 10 month old -
Nappies, wipes, teething toy, muslin, rattle / shaker, interactive (small) toy, picture book, sippy cup of water, rice cakes / snacks / puffs, emergency Ella's kitchen pouch, socks, change of clothes, sun cream, hat (either sun hat or winter hat depending on weather and if not already wearing), coat (in changeable weather if not already wearing), usually some homemade food (e.g. pesto pinwheels or savoury muffins or whatever).

For me -
phone, portable charger, umbrella, keys, wallet, makeup, kindle, socks (in case of impromptu soft play visit), spare contact lenses, sunglasses, noise cancelling headphones.

OnceUponAThread · 23/05/2023 16:35

Forgot changing mat with nappy bags, and there's usually some Metonium about and a calpol sachet.

ScoobyBooby · 23/05/2023 16:40
