Anyone found that their sleeping patterns/needs have changed in their late 30s?

I'm 37.

I'm finding that I don't need as much sleep as I used to. This has happened really quite suddenly.

It's weird because I get tired at the same time I always have But then when I turn the light off, I just can't sleep. But I'm too tired to do anything else in that time, so I just kind of lie there for a couple of hours 😅

So then I fully expect to be knackered in the morning because I've lost a couple of hours sleep. But I'm not, I feel fine. But I look tired with big black eye bags.

It's really weird. My sleep need has just randomly dropped a couple of hours, but my face hasn't got the message yet.

I'm also finding that I can't sleep with a pillow any more. My head feels like its floating. I've tried a flatter pillow but that was still shit. So I just don't use a pillow any more.

This has all happened very suddenly and I'm confused. Has anyone else experienced anything like this in their late-30s or early 40s, please?

I find I can only sleep with one flat pillow or I get a really stiff neck. I go to bed about 9.30 but have to get up to pee about 3 times before I fall asleep. Then I wake around 3am to pee again and then from 5am I'm awake. I need an eye mask as well.

I'm not too bad with night-time piddling [yet]

I only need to get up for a wee if I have an extra brew before bed. So I avoid that unless I'm watching something which needs an extra brew like the Chelsea Flower Show.

Yes, as you can tell, I'm a 24/7 party kinda girl 😅

Im 40 and the only thing that has happened to me is that I cant sleep in, regardless of when I go to bed.
My regular sleep cycle is 1/2am-10/11am
I will still sleep for around 9h most nights, if I manage to go to bed early enough.

If I go to bed at 4, I still wake up at 10/11, unless its a long run of going to bed really late and Im sleep deprived.

No getting up in the bed for the toilet either, unless Ive been drinking beer and didnt get my 3 wees between stopping drinking and going to bed!!
