Birmingham Help!

I’m going to watch Pink in a couple of weeks at Villa Park, we’re staying at the holiday inn in the city centre. Does anyone know the best way to get to the stadium from the city centre? I haven’t been to Birmingham in years and can’t remember if there’s any trams etc.

If anyone can help that would be great! Thanks

From the city centre you need the train to Aston 10 mins walk from Villa Park. It's the Cross City line to Lichfield or Four Oaks. Both are from New Street station.

The closest station is Witton 2 mins walk from a Walsall train, again from New Street station.

Returning, perhaps best to go to Witton because extra trains are usually laid on and are often full by Aston.

Trams don't go out that way unfortunately. I would get the crosscity train from New Street to Aston station- would be about 15 mins walk to the stadium from there. Don't walk through the park- walk round especially after dark! Bus would probably get you a bit closer to the stadium-but I haven't used buses for a few years and they've changed all the stops round in the city centre since I lived there!

It looks like you'd get it from outside of Snowhill Station in the city centre. And then get off at a stop somewhere like Trinity Road or Jardine Road or one of them around there, which seems to run next to Villa park.

Other than that, it's about a 12-15 minute drive, so shouldn't be too much £ if you got an Uber instead.
