Has anyone done a CELTA course recently?

Do you recommend it? Especially interested in courses in Ireland! Ds18 is interested.

He might want to look to see whether it will give him the employment he's thinking of without having a degree as well. For instance to teach in China you now need a degree, he might not get a work visa in certain countries.

You can take it virtually now so he could pick a location that required study at a time he was available. I looked at it for myself about four years ago and booked a taster afternoon at the local uni that offers it but emergency elder care put paid to that idea.

Thanks. We live abroad and there are lots of language schools so he's thinking of using it to get a bit of extra cash while he's at uni and maybe go abroad after graduation.

been abroad for coming up 2 years, teaching
they did stipulate having a degree also
