Would you want to know about old transgressions?

I have found out some info that a man had a threesome on his stag do, over a decade ago. I don't know the wife, and only know of the husband through friend (this friend was on the stag do). They have since had 3 children and are happily married as far as I know. Not sure what to do. I would want to know if it was me, but I don't want to set off a bomb in her life either. Shall I do anything, or just leave it?

You are contemplating seeking out someone you don’t even know to tell her something that happened over a decade ago? Stay out of it.
Your friend is a shitty friend gossiping about someone you don’t even really know. Imagine what they say about you to other people!

It wasn't said in a gossipy way and the friend is a man, if that makes any difference. He is friends with the male in this scenario. I get where you are coming from but it wasn't a gossipy scenario. And like I said, I would want to know, but I don't want to disrupt her life. Hence asking for opinions.

None Of Your Business.

Stay away!

It would be a bit cruel to tell her.

If you don't know the wife I'd be keeping out of it. It might be different if the wife was a close friend of yours.

Selfietaker · 22/05/2023 14:24

No, there's no justification for your telling her.

LuckyAmy1986 · 22/05/2023 14:26

ok thanks all. Seems like it’s a definite Nono.

I assumed the friend was a man, as he was on the stag do, men can and do gossip too.
Of course it was gossipy, there’s absolutely no reason for him to have shared that with anyone except in a “well, wait until you hear what he’s really like” kind of way.

LuckyAmy1986 · 22/05/2023 14:35

It wasn’t gossipy. He doesn’t even know that I know who he was talking about. But I worked it out. Anyway, I won’t do anything with the info.
