Sorry for the weird thread title, didn't really know what to call it!

Anyway, do you have photos of you as a baby/child? Do you have your birth certificate?

I don't have any photos, and only got my birth certificate in the last 10 years (I'm in my 40's). I've just needed a baby photo for a work event and my mum wouldn't let me have one so I've got a photo of a photo. I find it a bit weird that I don't have any, so wondered whether that's normal?!

She very reluctantly gave me my birth certificate when I needed it!

We are the opposite. DM decided someone else (me!) should be custodian of the family photo albums because she was fed up of the clutter.
I obviously can’t get rid of them but they aren’t my memories iyswim.
I also felt quite sad that she was so keen to get rid of them tbh, I can’t imagine handing our boxes of photos over to DC when they are in their 40’s.

However, when we had a work ‘guess the baby’ photo event I still had to take a photo of a photo in because the albums had a slightly tacky bit to stick the photo on before folding the clear film on it. Over time this has become like superglue and it was impossible to remove a picture.

I’ve had my birth certificate for ages, I needed it when we got married 25 years ago.
