I wanted to share this as there aren’t too many calf at foot dairies around, so was pleased to find this one has an online shop delivering around the UK. Calves are kept with their mothers and milk only taken once the calf has fed.

Looks good. I go to one called G&A Adderson in Cranfield (Bedfordshire), calf at foot and supply raw milk (tasty!).

Ah good stuff - I hope this sort of thing succeeds and there is more and more of it in the future. I'd love to buy cow&calf milk more easily.
I'm also a big fan of cheese from The Ethical Dairy: https://www.theethicaldairy.co.uk. Such a great idea.

Yes, Adventure and Miffy - it’s great to see this becoming a more mainstream option.

Oh wow, thanks so much for this. I've just been told by the GP to consider stopping being vegan so this is really useful for me.

Ooh this is great. We already get our milk from a local farm via a vending machine but it seems we also have a local farm which runs calves at foot.

Great thank you 😊

Why does it need to be raw milk? I like the idea of calf at foot but not sure why is not pasteurised, maybe I'm missing something?

Raw milk comes from cows who graze from fresh green grass.

Commercially raised animals are fed a high-protein soy- and cereal based diet to increase milk production. This diet is contrary to their biology as ruminants and can cause illnesses that may require cows to be given antibiotics.

Cows are natural herbivores and are healthiest when they eat grass, rather than the grain they are fed in confinement dairy operations.

Nearest one is over 100 miles from me, shame

That Norfolk place looks lovely, the jersey milk, beautiful

Aintshesweet · 22/05/2023 22:54

The Norfolk dairy has an online shop with Uk wide delivery Bellac. I’m sure others on that list do too <am slowly working through their websites>
