Question about DofE bronze award volunteering

DS has done 6 volunteering sessions spread over 3 months totalling 18 hours. Does anyone know if this is enough or does he need to do 12 sessions?

I think it's one hour a week for 12 weeks

It depends on his DofE provider. My son has done 4x 3 hour sessions and it’s fine, but we checked with his leader first.

He needs to do 12 sessions - strictly speaking, a session that is over an hour still only counts as an hour. Unless the person supervising is prepared to sign the form anyway.

Yeh thats what I've been told by another mum. The place he's volunteering at can't do weekly sessions for him so he's done more hours spread over fewer sessions.

Looks like he might have to do another 6 sessions despite doing 18 hours already.

Thanks, I'll try and contact the school leader again. He's very difficult to get hold of!
