For me it's when we are having a garden day, walking in and out of the garden to the kitchen. It makes me feel so sick with worry@

Holes! I'm triggered by different things you'd expect but I'm one of those people who feel anxious and disgusted to my pit with holes

EraOfTheGrey · 21/05/2023 16:57

continuous beeps and clusters of mushrooms

Cocteautriplet · 21/05/2023 16:59

Model railways layouts or anything with tiny intricate pointy bits like circuit boards or pin cushions … just typing about it makes me start to sweat!

flapjackfairy · 21/05/2023 17:00

noisy car exhausts and any neighbour noise.

saltrock123 · 21/05/2023 17:01

Stairs/steps without handrails.

SisterAgatha · 21/05/2023 17:01

Teardrops, Womack and Womack

It also used to be the Thomson Directory but I’m over that, it’s been years since I worked there.

Theblacksheepandme · 21/05/2023 17:03

Driving somewhere unfamiliar.

sleepysally22 · 21/05/2023 17:04

Halfords. I think it's because I had a panic attack in there once before and now when I go in there it seems to trigger the memory.

OrigamiOwls · 21/05/2023 17:34

London underground escalators

Em3978 · 21/05/2023 17:41

Yep.

Identifyingasadolphin · 21/05/2023 17:44

Shouty people, unexpected noises.

IronCandle · 21/05/2023 17:46

Loud people, having the tv/radio on in the background, music in shops, which seems to be in every shop these days.

Same. Even just thinking about those at Angel and Green Park makes my heart race.

ulcers · 21/05/2023 17:58

Being at home all day and wondering if someone will make an unannounced visit.

Me too, although it's more disgust than anxiety, and people that don't have it simply don't get how you can find something as innocent as a shower head so utterly revolting.

I get anxious when I know there aren't any toilets!

ulcers · 21/05/2023 18:22

@amylou8 @FloofCloud trypophobia. Me too! 🤢

This is so weird I feel the same way

Tiredmum100 · 21/05/2023 18:49

The strangest thing? Probably listening to radio 1. I find around 4/5 o clock in the summer triggers it. The thought of going away on holiday, the thought of not going away, and then actually being on holiday, then coming home 😂

Tidsleytiddy · 21/05/2023 19:01

Kids kicking a ball. Just the sound of the bounce sets me on edge.

Chellybelle · 21/05/2023 19:23

Letters through the door, that could be unexpected bills, or letters saying my housing benefit has gone down, usually claiming an overpayment that turns out to be incorrect, but still causes worry.

lissie123 · 21/05/2023 19:42

Sunday evening before work in Monday knowing my work phone used to constantly ring from 8.30am onwards.
Now I set it to silent to get any work done and arrange times for speaking to people on the phone- so much better and can organise my thoughts beforehand and I can control my anxiety.
