Anyone use Tesco mayo? I have a question

Is it normal for it to smell like salad cream? Quite strongly IMO. Or is it off?

What is the smell? Vinegar? Salad cream has a lot more vinegar than mayo. Maybe this is a very vinegary mayo?

Yes quite vinegary. Exactly like salad cream which is what made me question whether it's off or not (I love salad cream but mayo shouldn't smell like that surely?)

I've just looked at reviews on Tesco's website and a couple of people have said the same so I'm going to assume it's safe to eat

Yup, we aren't keen, we now do an Aldi shop every so often for Mayo/Ketchup etc Tesco just doesn't cut it!

I find their mayo really eggy. I use the lighter than light stuff though.
