Crikey, Bunglie, you're going through cages like there's no tomorrow. You're ging to have to stop chewing the bars like that. Grin

bless, poor thing, I hate it when they are ill.

ds recently got ill-we had spent all day making special new postman pat covers for his bed-he helped me make them too. Later he was ill all over them and he cried and cried-"P Pat all dirty" Sad poor boy!

feastofstevenmom · 13/12/2004 21:31

how about one of those long thin yard glasses - like yard of ale! to siphon off from the bunker...

WigWamBam · 13/12/2004 22:17

I could do with something - dh has just had to go out and buy some new sheets cos we've run out of clean ones ... grim.

Poor boy, secur ...

Oh dear, no improvment then...

WigWamBam · 13/12/2004 22:24

Not much - but at least she's asleep now. There can't be much left to come out!

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 13/12/2004 22:31

well..at least sleep is a good thing, how long has this been going on?

My top tip for this is to put one of those disposable bed mats over the bed, that way you can just wrap it up and throw away-much easier than all that washing IMO!

WigWamBam · 13/12/2004 22:35

Hadn't thought about putting the bed mat over the sheet [thick emoticon] - it's underneath it as a mattress protector. Duh!

She had the runs a little bit and was complaining of tummy ache on Friday and Saturday but had been OK since then - and then this afternoon had diarrhoea again (nice, as she won't use the toilet to poo), and has been chucking up since about 8.30. I think it's probably just a bug, I'll see how she is in the morning, I might get her in to see the doctor if she's no better.

Oh dear, yes does sound like a bit of a bug dosn't it? I would tend to agree, see how she goes and go to docs if no improvment.

Like to use bed mats over the sheets, saves s much work when they have a bug, they can never be ill just once can they!

WigWamBam · 13/12/2004 22:40

No, that's true - and even when you think you've got the measure of it, they say they feel ok and then throw up just as you move the bucket away!

It's been up the walls, all over her bed (three times), all over our bed, she's been in the bath twice because there was just so much of it that I couldn't clean her up any other way ... poor little sod!

Ruddy nursery ...

saintlysecur · 13/12/2004 22:47

Oh poor thing, like you say, you do wonder where it all manages to come from! Hopefully she can sleep now-usually [crossing fingers emoticon] once they are properly asleep they can start to get better.

WigWamBam · 13/12/2004 22:57

I spoke too soon

At least it all went in the bucket this time - but I think it's set for the night now. Yuk

OP posts:
feastofstevenmom · 13/12/2004 22:58

oh dear

saintlysecur · 13/12/2004 23:05

oh dear would help if I could-I know how long the night can be waiting for the next time your poor baby wakes up.

WigWamBam · 13/12/2004 23:07

I know - I'd have it for her if I could. Don't think there's much sleep on the cards tonight - although touch wood (taps self on head) she has dropped straight back to sleep again so maybe (pleeeease) she'll get some rest now.

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 13/12/2004 23:20

I do hope so, poor treasure. Well make the most of it, get some rest yourself, you may be up aain later

WigWamBam · 14/12/2004 08:49

I was ... [tired emoticon]! More than once ... then she got up at 7.30 - although she's gone back to sleep in our bed now.

Isn't it awful when they're ill

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 14/12/2004 12:30

oh no-poor baby, she must have it so bad-is she still sleeping?

WigWamBam · 14/12/2004 12:40

Got up at 10.30 and is now flaked out with the TV on snuggled under a duvet on the sofa. I'm contemplating joining her ... .

At least she's stopped throwing up now, although she's still feeling quite hot and hasn't had anything to eat yet, just drinking cool boiled water. She's been ever so good about it, poor soul.

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 14/12/2004 14:40

Hows things? Still on the water?

WigWamBam · 14/12/2004 14:43

Bit brighter, tummy still sore (hardly surprising) although she's sitting up now and has ditched the duvet - she had a piece of toast half an hour ago which (so far) has stayed down, she begged for some juice so I boiled up some very dilute fruit juice and she's kept that down too - things are looking up ... ... thanks for asking

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 14/12/2004 14:49

oh I do hope she is on the mend now-sounds like such a bad attack, (I had something similar-but nowhere near as bad) a few weeks ago and it was awful so I can only imaging how she is feeling

WigWamBam · 14/12/2004 14:50

But she's coping so well ... I shall know when she's really feeling better, because that's when the whinging will start!!

How are you - still smoke-free?

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 14/12/2004 15:03

yes, it is definitly bad when they are not yet well, but well enough to complain about it-don't envy you that!

Yes still smoke free-3 weeks and 1 day now! I have even been out drinking with Dh who smokes like a train and not felt bad about it! Thanks for asking!

WigWamBam · 14/12/2004 15:06

Hey, well done you! Does it feel good yet?

OP posts:
saintlysecur · 14/12/2004 15:39

no! I still have mouth ulcers all over, no voice and flu like symptoms-all as a result of the toxins exiting-I am assuming I will feel great at some point though!

No cravings though, so that is good!
