What’s up, OP?

CatastrophicCat · 18/05/2023 23:34

Me too, do you want to tell us what's bothering you? Flowers

BlackeyedSusan · 18/05/2023 23:34

Yep, I'm around.

And sadly quite round too.

PollyCreo · 18/05/2023 23:37

Shit going on at work - fraud squad arriving tomorrow to go through our computers (ex employee stolen €0000's) Personal health problems - going for more tests next week 😞

I'm here all night op.
Chatter away.

PollyCreo · 18/05/2023 23:43

The first is annoying. The second can be very stressful. The waiting for answers is the hardest.

PollyCreo · 18/05/2023 23:49

Thanks and yes you're right. I've never been ill in my life and I'm terrified of what's lying ahead

Did you want to share more about what's going on with your health? Are you looking at a serious diagnosis?

Possible breast cancer.

OP posts:
PollyCreo · 18/05/2023 23:56

I've had an ultrasound, mammogram and an MRI, now waiting for the biopsy next week.

Waiting on breast cancer tests (or any cancer test) is a worrying time. Are you waiting for the first tests or has something been found that's suspicious? I've been through that myself (ultrasound/3D mammogram) and it's hard waiting around for news that might completely change your life. Knowing it's usually nothing doesn't make it any easier.

Oh, so you've had all those done. I hope they will be able to get the results to you quickly and everything comes back fine. The waiting is hard.

HinnyInAPinny · 19/05/2023 00:02

I hope you get the best outcome op, the stress of waiting is horrible.
The stuff at your work doesn't help matters. X

toodlesofoodles · 19/05/2023 00:02

If the work stuff is not directly related to you it's not in your control, let them come.

Health stuff sounds hard going, I'm here for a hand hold for a bit Flowers

PollyCreo · 19/05/2023 00:03

I found a lump in my breast a few weeks ago. The ultrasound found 2 other lumps and the report said there were "signs of malignancy". So it's not looking great

OP posts:
toodlesofoodles · 19/05/2023 00:04

Have you any rl support op? A family member or trusted friend? Cancer investigations are hard to go through alone

PollyCreo · 19/05/2023 00:04

I have an appointment for a biopsy next week.

OP posts:
NeedCoffeeNowPlease · 19/05/2023 00:05

Signs of malignancy might not be malignancy though. I doubt knowing that helps with the anxiety though, because you still have uncertainty.

Yes I do, thanks. I live overseas and the healthcare service is good here.

I have good friends too. My parents are here now but they're old (80s) and it's taking a toll on them.
