I think it's likely child 2 is autistic. Child 1 is diagnosed and if I get my act together Im going to send my forms back to the Dr and see if I can be diagnosed...
I have contacted the school who have sent me the referral criteria (which is as I thought and I think my child meets that) but also that they must display this is a number of settings.
Ie they must see this in school.
I have a bright girl who I think has gone under the radar at school and we adjust for this at home/are an autism friendly house etc so compensate quite a lot.
Is the only way to get a referal/diagnosis if they have struggles at school? And how does this work for masking girls?!
I just don't understand it. If I go in about asthma they don't say she needs to have attacks at school etc..
There are things she struggles with at school (friendships/changes to routine mainly) but not significantly while at school....
