I don't know anything about houses, but your mum's home is absolutely lovely.

Whitebeamtreelover · 18/05/2023 19:09

It’s lovely, I don’t like the sign on the front, it’s pub like, but that’s personal taste.

Allbymyself44 · 18/05/2023 19:11

The photos seem out of focus or is that just my tired eyes?
Also all very beige/grey/brown. What about some pastel bedding and throws? Looks quite masculine and maybe some pastel cushions etc might soften it.

gallina · 18/05/2023 19:11

Was just about to comment the same about the sign on the front. That and the black shower cubicle are the only things I dislike

Yeah I don't like the black shower cubicle either.

Nousernamesleftatall · 18/05/2023 19:14

I think it looks great.

CountryParsonPetal · 18/05/2023 19:16

I really like the house. The big No No for me would be the adjacent bridge and railway line.

BungalowBuyer · 18/05/2023 19:16

Does the sign across the front go across both semi detached houses?

supermamio · 18/05/2023 19:16

The first picture confused me a bit, what are you buying? A garage, land, a pub? The house just seems to be photobombing the picture. Then its not until the 4th photo you get clarity its actually a building, but what it it? Is it a pub? The writing isnt very clear to me. Pictures 5-9 are lovely, picture 10 how big is that, what im assuming is a shower, black thing on the right of the picture.its not until 13 you get to see what your actually viewing.

The house inside looks lovely and neutral, just dont think the listing does it many favours.

ChiChaNaYubi · 18/05/2023 19:16

I think the photos aren’t very good. Really dull.
Also can’t believe the price but maybe I just live in a really cheap area!

KateyCuckoo · 18/05/2023 19:16

Front door area could do with making it a bit more obvious that it's the main door. Looks a bit confusing, maybe some bright pots out there?

OneLittleFinger · 18/05/2023 19:17

Nearly half the photos are of the outside. To me the garden is not the best feature and this is a waste of photos. Otherwise it's a lovely house, but change the bathroom photo (the shower cubicle is too prominant) and show more of the rooms.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 18/05/2023 19:17

Its very, err grey.

RuthTopp · 18/05/2023 19:19

Is that a trainline ? Looks very close.

Clariana · 18/05/2023 19:19

It looks like a nice house, but I don't know the area, if it is not selling is it priced well?

Menopants · 18/05/2023 19:19

its a lovely house but the first picture makes me think ‘oh look a pub on a busy road’. Get a better pic looking full on the front of the house

Train110 · 18/05/2023 19:20

Just a few things. Right at the top, the details show 1 bathroom, image attached.
But the floorplan appears to show 3. Which is correct?
If there is a family bathroom I’d expect a picture of that, and some of the other bedrooms.
I like that the grounds are marked. That’s useful.

Please judge this house!?

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 18/05/2023 19:17

I agree, it's very boring, there isn't really anything that makes it stand out and the kitchen is rather small. Maybe like someone else said a few more inside pictures and maybe some colour or something to add a bit of life to to it.

Serena73 · 18/05/2023 19:21

I think it's a lovely house. Decor doesn't bother me when looking at houses, I look at potential and the space. And a decent sized garden that gets sunny! In an ideal world it would have another toilet, but that wouldn't put me off. I wouldn't buy the house because it looks extremely rural.

fyn · 18/05/2023 19:21

It’s not really a four bedroom though, it’s got a sitting room that’s being used as a fourth bedroom. I always discount houses where one is downstairs. If you take that away you are left with a master and two singles realistically.

MovingandStressed · 18/05/2023 19:21

It’s a lovely house, there’s no big no no from me in terms of photos - though if I was picky I would concur with pp re black shower cubicle and if the option to take anything again came up I would do bedding in white / pastel so as to not detract eyes from the room. Unfortunately the location next to the railway line would be the offputting factor for me but it’s got a lovely big garden and someone will fall in love with the house!

Coronationstation · 18/05/2023 19:23

The inside is much better than the first impressions of the outside so I’d switch those around and also take some photos of the garden which aren’t in autumn. There also doesn’t seem to be photos of every room. I agree that it looks like a pub from the outside and at first I assumed it was the whole building. The railway line will put a lot of people off though.

DanceMonster · 18/05/2023 19:23

It’s lovely. Most people can look past decor that’s not to their taste, surely? The railway line would put me off though.
Is she struggling to sell? If so, it’s usually down to price.

WashableVelvet · 18/05/2023 19:25

Is the layout what people will be expecting of a 4 bed at this price and in this area? One is downstairs and one is more of a box room/study.

The driveway outside looks scruffy and might make me worry whether things had been maintained. Neater edging and some pots could help.

It’s a lovely house.

ThankmelaterOkay · 18/05/2023 19:25

The only way I’d put up with train line so close, would be if I could walk to a station that was well served.
