Best airport for Woolwich, but not City airport?

Hi flying from Dublin, staying in Woolwich. Prices for City airport ate too high, so wondering which one of the rest is easiest? Think the prices for Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick pretty similar. Thanks 😊

Stansted I would imagine as it’s across the river, not sure about routes from Heathrow, Gatwick is much better if you were staying in Sussex/Kent/Surrey or South East London.

Heathrow and then you can get the Elizabeth line all the way to Woolwich from Heathrow.

Download the city mapper app. It will give you times, routes and prices for all of them

This. Super easy. Done LHR to Woolwich and the Elizabeth line is a delight. I think it’s about an hr total.

Gatwick & Luton not very easy at all. At a push -

Stansted express into Liverpool Street then Elizabeth Line but this will cost quite a bit (Stansted Express is dear).

I suspect Heathrow cheapest on Elizabeth line, and Stansted priciest for Stansted express, but could be wrong. None are difficult

Depending where in Woolwich?
from Stansted the train to Liverpool st then Elizabeth line to Woolwich takes about 90 mins

80mins from Gatwick (take the Thameslink train and pick up Elizabeth line at Farringdon)

Heathrow is quickest and easiest, you can either get the Elizabeth line all the way (75 mins) or get the Express to Paddington then swap onto the Elizabeth line and it’s only an hour.

Do you live in London? 😂.

Woolwich IS in South East london - south of the river.

Stansted is in Hertfordshire … so yes across the river in the same way as Watford is 😀

Heathrow. The Elizabeth line goes direct from LHR to Woolwich in speed & air conditioned comfort. It’s a game-changer.

🤪 I thought stansted was in Essex so other side of the river from woolwich slopes off for a geography lesson.

Stansted Airport is in Essex, not Hertfordshire, although it is close to the border between the two.

We live about 5 or 6 miles from Stansted. My DD1 lives in Woolwich. When she is going to/from our house she uses the Stansted Express between the airport and Liverpool Street and then the Elizabeth Line. It doesn't take long.
