Panic attack in young child

My 11 year old daughter has just had a panic attack. She has never exhibited anything like this before. I get them myself and really don't want her to carry this into the future. They're so debilitating. I have been hospitalised for MH in the last couple of years and that would have affected her hugely. Does anyone have any experience of similar or advice on how to help her?

I suppose the first stop will be the GP.

Yes indeed but that isn't easy or helpful tbh.

We did therapy. Didn't really help that much but gave her some skills to help cope. Think it's been a year or so since the last one. She's also a lot happier in herself and i think that helps enormously. She also now can hold down a part time job at 17 and can go to school all day without me having to turn up for a panic attack.

Has she seen you having an attack?

Has she seen you having an attack?

Yep. In a soft play, it would have been a comedy sketch. It's awful.

Private therapist. Have one for my youngest now too a different one as she is more practical thinking than my eldest, she was having panic attacks over thinking school kids were plotting to murder, or thinking she might be a murderer (this all stemed from a dream) so slightly different, as apposed to my eldest who just got standard panic attacks for no reason.
