Where has my duvet gone ?

Day off. Pootling round the house tidying up.
Notice that the spare room bed looks weird. It has no duvet on it. Duvet, covers all vanished
2 other adults in the house who deny any knowledge of its disappearance.

Where is it ?

I've tried
Under the bed (all beds!)
Under the mattress covers
On other beds
Cupboards
Washing basket
Loft (!)

A whole 'all seasons' poofy quilt missing.

Any ideas hive mind?

Obviously my car keys. Missing for 4 days and I'm using the spare one. I've looked all over

We have 3 dogs but only one (the biggest) has been in the living room. We do wonder if his tail swiped it off the table as it's the perfect height for that but just can't see it anywhere and we've even checked his tail. We've checked under the sofa and all the tables (we having a living room/dining room in one) and chairs. Furniture has been moved and everything.

My biggest worry is that it fell into the bin and that was emptied on Tuesday night with bin men coming yesterday. DH doesn't think the bin was near the table at all but I can't remember if it was or not.

If the blanket is found with all the other lost items could you check is my cameo necklace there. Thanks, much appreciated.

OP I lost a pair of glasses in a backpackers hostel in Beijing in 2008. Twin room shared with my friend, put glasses on bedside table, went to sleep, woke up and they were gone. Turned the room upside down, mattresses off the bed, bedding shaken out, everything. No glasses. Room was locked from inside overnight and only us in it. Spooky.

We found a car key that had been missing for months in the actual car @caringcarer Only worked it out because the key battery was flat, and the car kept telling us our key battery was flat even though we changed the battery in the other car key multiple times. It was in a deep dark crevice down the side of one of the seats.

I lost a Christmas duvet cover once. I was adamant I owned it, it was covered in festive sausage dogs. DH denied all knowledge of this duvet and over time I convinced myself that I’d seen it and meant to buy it but never actually had.

February I decided to have a root out under the bed. A place that’s reasonably organised and I’d looked a dozen times before anyway. And there it was. I had not imagined it. I don’t know how I missed it the other twelve times but at least I know I’m not going mad.
And yes, it went straight on the spare bed in triumph. In February.

One of the funniest things I ever heard was my friend's mum absolutely lost the plot with her five teenagers being arses at the dinner table so she picked up a fairy cake and threw it at the worst offender.

The cake disappeared. They looked and looked for it but never found it.

I have no idea why I find this so amusing 🤣
