Where has my duvet gone ?

Day off. Pootling round the house tidying up.
Notice that the spare room bed looks weird. It has no duvet on it. Duvet, covers all vanished
2 other adults in the house who deny any knowledge of its disappearance.

Where is it ?

I've tried
Under the bed (all beds!)
Under the mattress covers
On other beds
Cupboards
Washing basket
Loft (!)

A whole 'all seasons' poofy quilt missing.

Any ideas hive mind?

Reminds me of the 'missing g ironing board' thread from many moons ago.

Can I add one of my nice sparkly earrings that my parents bought me to the list of random missing things please?

I wore them to a funeral on Monday, I was getting changed for travelling home and my top caught one and the back came pinging off and I couldn't find it anywhere but backs are easy enough to replace.

So I put the earrings into my make up bag to keep them safe as I couldn't wear them after that. Got home, both earrings were there but a pressed powder lid had broken and powder had got onto the earrings so I put them on a side table out the way until I was able to clean them.

I went to get them last night to clean them and put them away and only one was there. We've turned the living room upside down and it's just totally vanished and I'm so sad as I really loved those earrings.

My dad once found one in his garden, covered in shit...🤮🤮

I'm betting either:

when you were away, DD had a party and a guest vomited.peed/shat on the duvet; either DD or the guest got rid of it.

Someone has been to a music festival and took the duvet for their tent; it got ruined so they left it.

Maybe her friend threw it out?
We went away, DS had some housetrained guests stay. One stayed in DD's room, a few weeks later I decided to strip the bed as she was coming home. The duvet was all screwed up in a corner of the bed, when I unraveled it to remove the cover, it was covered in several weeks old vomit, it took hours of soaking and really hot washes to clean the cover and sheet, I had to was the duvet and mattress protector about 4 times.
DS knew nothing about it, his mate had said nothing, just left it.
If he had thought about it, he might have bundled the lot out to throw away

Somebody has

A. Puked on it
B. Shat on it
C. Peed on it

And thrown it away.

I found mine apparently it was wintering in the dry cleaners only found it when I took the winter one to be cleaned. They asked me if I wanted to collect the other one😳

Maybe dd housetrained friend was ill during the night and got sick on it and in a panic threw it away/took home to clean?

Are any of the beds against the wall? If so, could it have slipped down the gap?
If anyone can find one leg from one desk and three from another, that would be really useful.

Although I've moved house since that went missing, the old house was ripped apart and rebuilt, and the ring never turned up despite all that, so I think it's gone forever.

Has duvet been stuffed at the top of a wardrobe?

The only thing I can think of that hasn’t been suggested is bagged up in the boot of the car ready to go for cleaning.

It's probably wherever my kindle is.

Do you have a ring doorbell or similar? Could you check back and see if there's any footage of one of you taking the duvet out the house? I realise how crazy that sounds but I'm invested now.

Very tall DH came home, asked if found it yet. Said no, he went upstairs and found it (suspiciously quickly 🤔stuffed at the top of a very tall cupboard. At his height. Ahem.

I suspect he may have put it there. Don't know why.
