Where has my duvet gone ?

Day off. Pootling round the house tidying up.
Notice that the spare room bed looks weird. It has no duvet on it. Duvet, covers all vanished
2 other adults in the house who deny any knowledge of its disappearance.

Where is it ?

I've tried
Under the bed (all beds!)
Under the mattress covers
On other beds
Cupboards
Washing basket
Loft (!)

A whole 'all seasons' poofy quilt missing.

Any ideas hive mind?

Wrapped round something to protect it whilst moving (eg tv)?

We don't have an airing cupboard.

If DH did bring another woman in he'd have to sneak her in past me as I work at home. And then they'd be at it right above my head. So not a contender. Oh and he just wouldn't.

A friend stayed this week (in another room) so maybe he ate it ? I'll ask. He'll understand.

I firmly believe that due to some hitherto undiscovered law of physics that tiny singularities manifest in our homes and vanish again without trace after sucking in innocuous household items. It's really the only feasible explanation for why there are so many bloody odd socks in our house. They're all in an alternate dimension. HTH 😁

Dressing gown pocket is where I found my passport after a frenzied couple of days looking for it, so it's definitely worth checking.

I can’t add anything helpful as I’ve also lost one of my duvets.

Looked inside all cupboards, all duvet covers in case I doubled-duvetted over winter and forgot. No vacuum packed bedlinens. It’s totally gone. Very small home, live mostly alone. There might be a secret place where escaping duvets go.

I believe in a land of lost items.

In someone's car or maybe someone has taken it for cleaning and is not fessing up because they know it'll be back soon?

So you saw it needed washing, and then what? Did you pick it up and the postman came or something? I often abandon things mid task when another thing happens then can't reemener WTF I left the first thing. Currently looking for my wallet that I knew I would lose as it was in my jeans that I wasn't wearing. So I put it somewhere safe...

Did you take it outside to de-cat it before washing? Is the pillow and matching pillow case still on the bed?

Did you bag it up in a black bag to take to the cleaners/launderette and someone's chucked it out? I lost a wetsuit that way.

The ironing board was found on top of a wardrobe I think.
