Anyone got any good mnemonics?

Yesterday I found myself telling ds the mnemonic I was taught when learning the order of sharps in musical key signatures: Father Christmas Goes Down An Escalator Backwards.

It prompted me to remember some others I learned, like Lefty Loosey, Righty Tighty, Stalactites Hold On Tight while Stalagmites Grow Tall With Might, and Some Men Hate Every One: Great Lakes Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario.

They must work cos I am well old now and clearly haven't forgotten! What mnemonics (useful or otherwise) are indelibly imprinted on your brain?

Re the order of sharps- did you know that if you do the rhyme backwards it's the order of flats?

The music one that I remember the most is the order of key signatures. GooD AlE BeeF
Go from left to right and it's the order of sharp keys
G has one sharp
D has two sharps
A has three sharps etc

If you do the rhyme backwards ( putting a flat in front of all but F) it's the order of flats.
F has one flat
Bb has two flats etc

Very handy for music theory exams!

I can't remember the start of it, but chemical reactivity series finishes for me with 'I like huge copper mugs silently growing'

Also while it’s not a mnemonic I always use the knuckles trick for remembering which months have 31 days

Anyone got any good mnemonics?

I use 'righty tighty, lefty loosey' on an almost daily basis.

Can only remember the order of the balls in snooker by singing Chas n Daves'Snooker Loopy'
Pot the reds then screw back for the
Yellow
Green
Brown
Blue
Pink
And Black

Knuckles trick is amazing!
