I haven't had it for years but bought a jar on impulse. I forgot just how good it is.

What's the best marmalade? I currently have Duerr's.

And slightly random question but can you buy Marmalade in the U.S?

I make 50+ jars if marmalade every January, I have it on my toast every day! I use less sugar than the recipe says.

La Vieja Fabrica Seville orange marmalade is our family favourite - just the right amount of rind and tangy bitterness. (Avoid their blood orange conserve, though - I had high hopes but it just tastes strange and bitty.)

Rediscovered marmalade while in hospital recently.

Lemon is just yummy!

burblish · 16/05/2023 00:19

@evtheria I get it from Ocado, if that’s any use to you!

@NooNooNotSoGreat seville oranges are often available during months other than january.
this recipe is one i've been using for 8+ years, supper easy and yes use up all the peels and make it nice and chunky.
the seeds and skins (which are worked while in cheesecloth) have natural pectins and it firms up very well (if not set after a few weeks open a jar and boil it down a tiny bit).

They used to have a lovely three fruit one with grapefruit in Sainsbury's - don't know if they still do.
