I write notes to myself on my left hand like 'to dos' abbreviated. Eg 'chem' for chemist.,

My flat is always clean and tidy. Like always. People say they don't know how I keep on top of it. But I don't understand how people live in a messy home.

Mabelface · 05/05/2023 11:54

When I make a sandwich, it has to be done in the same specific way each time and served cut diagonally on a square plate. Bread rolls are served on a round plate.

We hang wet laundry on the clothes horse in an order based on how much we like each item and things we don’t like as much can’t go next to our favourite items.

We have good and bad clothes pegs.
Grotty old clothes don't get the nice pegs because they don't deserve them.

I thought this was just me....... Old, scraggy clothes get the shit pegs. School uniform and work clothes get the new pegs

ThreeRingCircus · 05/05/2023 12:01

I eat a McDonald's Big Mac in two sections. The first section is the top one like a normal burger and then I eat the bottom section (which is the best one.)

I'm the opposite of some PPs and my food and hot drinks have to be absolutely piping hot. If someone makes me a cup of tea and it's cool enough to drink immediately then it's too cold for me, it needs to be practically still boiling. I'm a slow eater/drinker so if someone gives me lukewarm food or drinks it'll be stone cold before I've finished 😟

That must get expensive!

I would love to do this! Unfortunately, DH's skin reacts to more or less everything so, no can do.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 05/05/2023 12:08

Dogs/cats/babies have voices. I won’t miss the baby/toddler stage but I will mourn the day I stop responding to DH as “the baby” in a Donald Trump parody.

We can eat the same meals for 2-3 days at a time. I just can’t/won’t cook that often.

Talking to animals

> And making up their response in a funny voice

I blame Johnny Morris. Well, it amuses me.

I though this was normal?😂

My cat speaks in a Margaret Rutherford/Miss Marple voice, wears sensible low-heeled patent leather shoes and pearl clip-on earrings and stands for precisely no nonsense whatever!

IjustbelieveinMe · 05/05/2023 12:11

When my dog yawns he sounds like Cilla Black belting out 'Alfieeee'.

Every Birthday and Christmas I generally ask everyone for perfume, I love to collect them and am a bit obsessed 😂

Just spray your side or just your pillow 😉

What's wrong with me? Of course I can do that!! Already excited at the decadence of it all !x

I like my food lukewarm. DP likes it steaming, I don't get the attraction it just hurts to eat.

I'm the same. I like food to be warm rather than hot. There's nothing more frustrating than burning your tongue/mouth.

Same here. If I’m hungry I want to eat now, not sit there waiting for the food to be the right temperature, or blowing away at it. Equally I don’t see why anyone wants to equate food with pain.

Minxyjinx · 05/05/2023 12:27

I let my toast go cold before buttering it, tastes so much better!

CLEO42 · 05/05/2023 12:35

I put vinegar on my roast potatoes

I'm a lucid dreamer and always have been.

I am ambidextrous as is my dad though we are different - he has some things he always does left handed and other things right handed, I switch mid flow, e.g. if I am playing football, I will use my right and left feet interchangeably

This is interesting. I have had two lucid dreams in total. They were incredible. My red ball is using permanent marker on my laptop for some reason.

Do you have a 'red ball' or is every dream lucid anyway?

IDontWantToBeAPie · 05/05/2023 12:37

@ThreeRingCircus see I don't care if my food goes cold. I like it just as much 😂

wildinthecountry · 05/05/2023 12:38

Pretty sure I've seen a roast potato recipe that used Balsamic vinegar before .

@Blondey2023 just spraying one side won't work for her partner. I have eczema and any fragrance in the bed will set it off. We can't even use perfumed laundry detergent.

Yes! You are absolutely right! I've done it for years and it's infinitely better!

Hmmm that may explain why I have eczema flare ups too! Oh noooooo 😳😱

We hang wet laundry on the clothes horse in an order based on how much we like each item and things we don’t like as much can’t go next to our favourite items. I’ve always had this foible whereas I think DH only absorbed it through living with me. It gives me a bit of a twitch if I watch somebody hanging their laundry any old way, but they’re usually baffled at the concept of having a special order.

I think this is very hierarchical.

Your poor old raggedy t-shirt must feel very hurt.,

Sad for them, not allowed next to me your favourite Moana dress or whatever...

Every dream is lucid. I can sometimes (not when stressed) make a decision to let go and let my subconscious take over for a bit but I can always stop/control it. I was about 25 before I realised that this wasn't how most people dream

RicherThanYew · 05/05/2023 12:45

I write down the name of every film I watch and rate it from 0-10 on the right side of the page.

DRS1970 · 05/05/2023 12:48

I have conversations with my cats. That's normal right...

I Whatsapp myself things I need to do when I remember. The message chain is then a working to-do list. Easy when I don't have my diary/paper with me.

This is genius! I'm stealing this idea
