Now I love my leggings (I'm 40) and all the food things mentioned here. I'm wearing 3/5 linen trousers today specifically because I like how piratey they are. (If a 40 year old fat woman could ever be said to look like a pirate.)
But yes, I wish restaurants etc would stop making everything veggie into vegan! I want cheese and eggs!
What can fuck off is apps for every single thing. I don't want an app for when the bus is due, I want a timetable and the buses to stick to it.
I don't want an app for my bank, I want my bank to still be open in town with real people in it.
And many more.

Don't like trousers that don't come to the floor though, don't like leggings, hated the cold shoulder things too.. pirates are ok though..

I think it's less about liking & more about relishing. I think its natural to be have a curious fascination - if not outright revulsion - about smells that come from our own body. Think of getting a tonsil stone & squishing it in a tissue & sniffing it. It's repulsive yet compulsive!

To bring it back to unpopular opinions, Monday is not the worst day of the week - Saturday is. Saturdays are boring. I love Mondays with their lovely routine and structure. Which is why bank holiday Mondays are shit.

pam290358 can you remember a Coconut bar called something like Cabanos? It was like a Bounty but had Cherry in it - I wish they'd fetch those back.

Cabana. Coconut, pineapple and cherry.

It was a Cabana, and they were delicious. If I remember rightly they were in a blue wrapper. It was a coconut and cherry filling and I think there was a caramel layer on top before the chocolate. Wow, wish they still made them !!

I started making my own bread during lockdown and I love tiger bread so I googled it. The bread itself is just basic recipe white bread (I use fresh yeast from our local Sainsburys’ bakery). The secret is in the rice/yeast paste you brush over the top. It’s made from 3 tbsp rice flour, 3 tbsp lukewarm water, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon each of sugar and fresh or dried yeast, and a half tablespoon of oil. Mix it all together into a smooth paste. Let the bread rise for about 20 minutes and then brush it all over the top of the loaf or rolls, then let the bread rise for another 40 minutes or so. When you bake the bread, the yeast paste dries and the bread rises under it, making the pattered cracks and that lovely crunchy texture.

This wasn’t Wagamama was it? I had some noodles there so covered in chilli oil my whole mouth and lips swelled up, no warning on the menu either (it was something like noodle soup so not obvious).

No not Wagamama, although I've always wanted to eat there.
I don't mind a slight back taste of heat but when it ruins the whole meal I get the right hump.

It was a little local restaurant again which I've walked passed many a time and wanted to try.
Now I know to keep walking.
