Play suits shouldn't be worn over the age of 4

I'm actually excited to go shopping tomorrow! Rum is inspired.

((AHEM)) who suggested rum first on this thread?
Make sure you soak the fruit in the rum for a while first.
I may have made my own rum 'n' raisin ice cream in the past. Spiced or dark rum works well for it.
You are so very welcome.

ScottBakula · 05/05/2023 23:54

I remember a few years ago making my own mince pies , I had soaked to much mince meat in tescos spiced rum to fit in the pie shells so mixed it with vanilla ice cream .
It was the 1st time I'd ever had Christmas ice cream but it certainly wasn't the last time !

OneFrenchEgg · 05/05/2023 23:54

Sorry @isitshe it was a general nod to the Bounty enthusiasm! I shall soak the raisins first - we have rum. I have been doing Dry January for months now, but I think rum in dark chocolate doesn't count.

isitshe · 06/05/2023 00:06

@OneFrenchEgg Of course it doesn't count silly! And January was yonks ago.

Tea is an awful drink and the process of making it is dull and tedious. Just have a soft drink and be done with the faff.

I don't need to meet your dog to be cured of my fear. Your dog will not cure my fear.

It's possible to read the Daily Mail without needing to give it a nickname to prove your Enligtened Credentials. You read it, you posted a link to it, deal with it.

Tea is massively comforting though. Especially first thing in the morning

I have no desire to ever eat a takeaway.

Tea is not dull and tedious!!

No woman over 30 should wear leggings.

Well I'm 38, very overweight (due to prescribed steroids) and they're bloody comfortable!

Catsmere · 06/05/2023 01:36

Tea with milk and sugar is lovely and teabags are fine, why bother with the whole kettle and pot process?

SchoolTripDrama · 06/05/2023 01:37

tourdefrance · 05/05/2023 08:02

Had lots of comments on this one!

Fine for you to eat processed food as a vegan / vegetarian, but poor when the only vegan option is fake meat in a restaurant.

There are so many amazing ways to cook vegan food (including using chick peas and lentils) but some chefs don’t bother.

As a vegetarian, what pisses me off is when the ONLY vegetarian option in restaurants is also the vegan option with sodding 'Cheeze' 🤢 I'm vegetarian because I'm allergic to meat, I can still eat real cheese, eggs & milk!!

Inkypot · 06/05/2023 03:01

@SchoolTripDrama yes this annoys me too! Can't stand the cheeze crap, gimme real cheese ffs. Vegetarian not vegan and can guarantee I've probably been vegetarian longer than most of the vegans demanding cheeze have been alive.

Pineapple on pizza is the food of the gods.

Bahaha. I'm 34, skinny and 5ft. Baby faced and often mistaken for a teenager. My flared skull leggings and tiny lacey mini skirts paired with fishnets and knee length platfom boots would give you nightmares on my school run Grin I intend to age disgracefully - chains, spiked dog collars and waist length hair. Life's too short (and so am I) to be beige Grin

someoneisalwaysintheloo · 06/05/2023 03:49

Prawns on pizza should be banned as well as the words pudding and pud.

Many types of food smell like BO, feet, mold

Curry smells and looks like vomit

I resisted salted caramel ice cream for a long time, but now I like it.

Catsmere · 06/05/2023 04:55

Seconding about curry. 🤢

MadamClench · 06/05/2023 04:58

The phrase 100% needs binning.

Buffypaws · 06/05/2023 04:59

jollypostwoman · 04/05/2023 21:37

Custard should be banned.

Custard is one of the best things ever

Iloveabaconbutty · 06/05/2023 06:09

Custard on puddings, pies and crumbles is amazing and far superior to cream.

Banana custard is ambrosia.

Custard and cream on all of the above is the best!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 06/05/2023 07:00

Oysters are vastly overrated, and are far more palatable when cooked. In Dickens’ time they were associated with poverty.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 06/05/2023 07:29

White chocolate is the work of Satan.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 06/05/2023 07:38

@Saschka why not? No animals are being harmed why am I not a 'proper' vegan because I like a bit of fake ham?

awaynboilyurheid · 06/05/2023 08:40

Everything with wheat flour should be changed to rice flour and that way could be gluten free and myself and fellow coeliacs wouldn’t have to read every expletive deleted label or check everything in restaurants for hidden wheat I’m taking about frozen chips! stop adding wheat to things that don’t need it! Just been glutened again after eating out and it’s horrible!
I can eat bounties they are always a great gf option and love the raisin idea!

Please....says fellow coeliac. Why wheat flour on or in everything? And why is GF food so expensive? 8 Tesco GF chocolate biscuits are £2.35. And the only decent GF bread is £3.00 for a tiny loaf with dwarf sized slices. If I swore, this would be a very wordy post.
