I saw a male celebrity is dating a woman much more attractive than them. I was wondering have any Mners had LTRs , married men who are much more attractive than them? I don't see many women punching in real life or even many celebrity women.

Every time I visit Ireland for a wedding I think it's an entire nation of men in boot cut jeans and bad haircuts punching waaaaay above with their female partners!

Better than men in skinny jeans, no socks and loafers with sculpted hair and HD brows surely?

Jimmy Carr and Jamie Dornan are the more attractive partners in their relationships.

now I don’t find Jamie remotely attractive, it’s so very subjective!

I was once sitting in a cafe and two men were having a meeting. Both quite nerdy. Then the wife of one of the men turned up with his kids. You could see a visible change in how the other man perceived the husband because the wife was a 9/10 not just in looks, but in her "classiness" if you see what I mean. The kids were gorgeous too. I think some men see women as status symbols (I know, I know women do this too). Especially celebs and footballers etc. For that sort love is definitely not blind.

Good god Jimmy Carr looks like a serial killer slash ventriloquist dummy. I think Jamie is attractive but so is his wife.

Every single cocklodger I've met does this.
An example: lazy fecker, long-term unemployed in his 30s (for no good reason), lived at home with mum but good-looking and charming.
He had a fwb who was far less attractive than him.
Mum wants him out, suddenly fwb is 'good' enough to be girlfriend and he moves in.
She lost a lot of weight, went from 18 stone to half that, her attractiveness sky-rocketed and started getting attention from men who were good-looking, charming AND worked for a living, he had become quite bloated and even lazier than usual - because of her good cooking and the fact she did everything for him-which affected his looks.

She kicked him out.

Good for her!!

I have always felt that there is an unspoken rule that wives and girlfriends have to be better looking than their other half. It’s bloody weird.

I've read enough trivia here to know that I absolutely don't care anymore. Because I am 67, so old, and clearly no longer attractive. But both DH and I come back from doing exciting stuff like walking the dog, to tell each other with enthusiasm that "I got chatted up today". It still happens, even in your seventh decade.

I dont know a single couple where the man is more attractive than the women. Obviously it happens, but from what I have seen, it is very unusual.

I know I'm bumping a two year old thread, but I know two couples where the woman is seriously punching.

Both of the men are millionaires. One of them is ok looking, an average joe, the other man is handsome. Both wives are very homely; not hideously ugly, but very plain Jane. I suppose they are both very thin for their ages, which maybe their husbands see as plus as it's rarer to be thin in middle age.

Also, the obvious celebrity couple which springs to mind is Charlie Hunnam and Morgana McNelis.
