So who is travelling to Spalding in two weeks for the flower parade?

The one thing Spalding was well known for was its yearly tulip parade.

People would travel for ages to come and see it and I have very fond memories of watching (and being on a float) the parade, and having a bbq afterwards growing up. I was very lucky as the parade went right my by house. That evening we would go to the fair.

It was finished 10 years ago. The council cancelled it.

Now, someone got together a group, and after 10 years, it’s actually going ahead this year! I can’t wait for my kids to see it.

Normally it would happen today. The fair is already here as it usually is annually, however due to the coronation, it’s been pushed back a couple of weeks and is on 13th May.

So, who’s coming?!!

So pleased to have found this thread. Me and DH have just got back from 2 weeks in Holland to see the tulips and he was telling me about the flower festival in Spalding and how he used to go when he was young.

We don't live that far from Spalding so are definitely going
