Holiday tomorrow - weather is shit

Needed a rant

Treating ourselves (me, DH, DS4) to a week away before DC2 arrives in summer, and the weather looks gash for the whole week.

It's a place with nothing really other than outdoor things for kids. TV in room will be in the local language and I am just so pissed off that our treat (following a horrendous year for us personally) is going to be rained out, and 13-14 degrees daily.

We went to the same place at exactly the same time last year and it was 25+ every day.

I can't even get drunk to pass the time

We've obviously been super lucky in the past!!

I lived in Greece and it would rain each day in spring in the afternoon but be hot and sunny the rest of the day.

Yeah, Greece is no fun in crap weather

Day trip to Thessaloniki perhaps?

We went Interrailing over the Easter holidays and the whole of Europe was colder than normal. Brussels was fucking freezing, in Innsbruck it worked in our favour because the mountains were covered in snow, in Rome the locals were predicting the end of days because it was only 20 degrees (and sunny, so actually perfect for sightseeing!), in Genoa we had hoped to explore the surrounding coast but it pissed it down....we still had a good time, but when you're hoping for a bit of warmth after a long Northern European winter, you can't help but feel cheated.

Worst comes to the worst, we could hire a car and explore I guess.

We went to Greece recently, was obsessed with the weather report before I went because it looked so crap! But it wasn't anywhere near as bad as advertised so try not to worry before you get there. Hope you have a great time.
