If you have a child with SN who hates school, what job do you do?

Can you work?
What happens if your DC refuses to go to school and you're not there because you're in the office?
Do you have a limit of how far away you are?

Both my husband and i had to change jobs and we are significantly worse off as a result.
My husband works from home.
I now work part tine, hybrid, around my husbands hours.

I‘m freelance and work from home. Fortunately DH also works from home 95% of the time, although he is often on calls so it falls to me to deal with any kid related stuff, but it does mean I can leave DC here while I go and collect the other kids from school.

It doesn‘t pay great though, because I can only work may 60-70% of full time hours, so have to fit work in around trying to get DC to do some school work, which they won‘t do alone. It works for us at the moment, but it helps that DC is older (early teen) so doesn‘t need my constant supervision.

Vastly reduced my hours and wfh (civil servant). No one tell Rees-Mogg.
