What did you spend so much money on that you felt you needed to use it often to make it feel worth it?

Upoababy buggy, like £800. My boy is so tall the hood pretty much touches his head but feel I want to squeeze him in it as long as possible

The bean-to-cup coffee machine.
It’s so cantankerous: “clean this, empty that, rinse these, add the other. Grind, gurgle, flash…” and it uses unnecessary amounts of water.

For the 6 cups I make a day I’d go back to my €100 de’Longhi ground coffee machine in a heartbeat

Three years ago DH bought me a years very private expensive gym/spa membership. Then we had lockdown and I could not use it as closed. I had to use it afterwards. I didn't really want to use it but it cost so much I felt I had to use it. He bought it because he heard me tell one of my friends I enjoyed it there when she asked if I liked it there. I felt obliged to go every week and twice some weeks. Little does he know I often just went and lounged in the jacuzzi for up to 40 mins then went to the coffee lounge and had a coffee before coming home.

I don't have one myself but I presume a lot of second homes will come into this category.

Peloton. But I love it so I don't mind!

Dyson Airwrap, used it three times a week for 6 weeks then sent it back. No matter how I did it, the blow out look never lasted longer than an hour. I gave up and got a full refund thank goodness.
