A bit of a boring one but what colour would you describe this as? The description just says "light" .

Thank you

I opened it and looked at the top. It's ready assembled and very heavy and large. This is the colour of the top...
It's such a pain. We have family coming over next weekend for a party and I wanted it all sorted. I've struggled to find something I like that will go with the living room and it's going to be a pain returning this.

There are other photos online that are clearer with the colour. ⬇️ You really need to see furniture like that first, especially if you're not sure of the colour.

Sorry for you OP.
I thought it was faun or taupe but then it had a greyish tinge, which I thought was just the wall and rug.

SequinsandStilettos · 22/04/2023 17:02

Yeah, see, maybe it's the goldy knob but still has a taupe tinge to it - it's only the grey on the leg that is distinctly grey...or I need to go to Specsavers.

inappropriateraspberry · 22/04/2023 17:03

I'd say it has grey undertones, like a lime washed finish.

Nomoreminieggs · 22/04/2023 17:03

@inappropriateraspberry those pics you poste ld look like the colour I want. It's a shame the website didn't list it as grey because the box says grey.
Unfortunately I couldn't see it in person as it was from Next online, I think options of seeing in person are limited. It's such a nuisance.

If anyone has seen any nice cream/beige sideboards, please let me know! I need inspiration!

I did think it could be a bit "greige" but it looked more beige/cream to me and everyone else who I asked.

See, if it was me - and I liked the style - I'd paint it.

inappropriateraspberry · 22/04/2023 17:09

It's real wood so I suppose they can't guarantee a. Exact shade, each piece will be a bit different. Do you want a more yellow cream shade or more beige?

Nomoreminieggs · 22/04/2023 17:12

A more beige shade. I know it'll vary slightly but I don't want it to be grey instead of beige. I'm going olto have to return I think as it was more than I wanted to pay and I really don't want grey.

Light mushroom

Nomoreminieggs · 22/04/2023 18:30

I think what also threw me is the fact the knobs are gold. I wouldn't put grey and gold together.

Wheat Grass like my kitchen walls.

inappropriateraspberry · 22/04/2023 21:25

It would probably be easier to find a contrasting stronger colour than the right shade of beige, I think most run to the grey side at the mo.
Would a deep blue or green work perhaps? Or even white would be easier to find!

Nomoreminieggs · 22/04/2023 21:44

@inappropriateraspberry I'm struggling to know what I like. I want something nice and not too boring but also not too specific a colour, so it could move rooms if needed. I just wanted it cream/beige- just not grey!
I think pure white would be too white. The other option was this but I was avoiding wood as it's harder to match wood.

I really like this look (from Instagram). This sideboard was from last year's Next collection so unfortunately I can't buy it. However I thought colour wise it would be similar to the one I have. I can't find anything else similar.
