Bank holidays in May

I thought the bank holiday on the 1st may was cancelled and it's now on the 8th may
after the coronation.
And the one at the end of may stays as it is.
Or have I got that wrong and there are 3 bank holidays in May this year.

Oh sorry coronated ( if it can even be used as a verb that way) rather than married Blush. Shows how much interest I have in it.

Oh hell, I loathe bank holidays. Such depressing Sundayish feeling days but worse because of the hoards of people roaming about everywhere. Reminds me of lockdown.

Yes I remember all the hoards of people roaming around in Lockdown 😁

This. My year 9 is doing the same. Year 11 in on strike days

And our school is closed to be used as a polling station on the 4th too! She’s hardly at school next few weeks.

We lose £300 in nursery fees this month for no childcare. Absolute farce.

My childminder doesn't charge for bank holidays so that's a saving however for her it's between £6-700 lost earnings and April is a poor month too with the east holidays x

I work in a private school, they are staying open on the first bank holiday, so they will only have two. Of course they do have longer holidays anyway, so it would make the summer term ridiculously short if they took all the bank holidays.
