Tiny Beautiful Things on Disney is absolutely gorgeous but had me weeping.

Beef was ok.

Foxymoxy68 · 17/04/2023 13:39

Was excited for Obsession but found it incredibly depressing! Re-watching Afterlife now. Although it's sad in parts, it's incredibly life affirming and also very funny.

Good Girls
Tokyo Diner
Extraordinary Attorney Woo

No it get worse rather than better. We like gre first few seasons but the las season was dreadful.

ThreeRingCircus · 17/04/2023 17:00

Wednesday (Netflix) if you like quirky/fantasy/Addams family

Ghosts (iPlayer) is brilliant and very funny. I think it gets better and better as the episodes go on.

The Last Kingdom (Netflix) is you like Vikings/historical action

Happy Valley on iPlayer if you've never seen it because I think it's been the best TV for years.

waltzingparrot · 17/04/2023 17:17

I also recommend Colin from Accounts on iplayer. Aussie comedy.

1930toEdinburgh · 17/04/2023 18:08

Obsession on Netflix. Lots of sex in it though.

Tisfortired · 17/04/2023 18:13

Things I have either watched or are on my list;

Last of Us
Succession
Your Honour (second series but start at the beginning if you haven’t seen it!)
The Gold

Great Expectations (on BBC at the mo with Olivia Colman as Havisham)
Happy Valley

I can't get into Money Heist. I've watched three. Should I persist if I don't like it yet?

Sorry for the hijack.

We watched a couple of series' but it got boring and repetitive

GoodChat · 17/04/2023 18:15

I finally watched After Life which was very good

Jack Reacher
The Queens Gambit
Snowpiercer

Sunshineandshowers39 · 17/04/2023 18:25

The Americans on Disney Plus. Definitely in my all-time top five.

Amazing script and plot, thrilling, emotionally engaging, with well-developed characters you care about.

Also probably the best season finale ever.

Rubyupbeat · 17/04/2023 18:29

Woman of the Dead, netflix, very good. Austrian dubbed or subtitles.

RaininSummer · 17/04/2023 18:37

Does Colin from accounts get better as we watched one and didn't find it at all funny?

JuneShitfield · 17/04/2023 18:42

I'm enjoying The Expanse. It's on Prime. Sci-fi isn't normally my thing but this is good and quite complex; it's about politics and morality and all that. It does take a few episodes to get going but once you're in it's very absorbing.

I'm also enjoying Arcane on Netflix. It's an animated thing but quite a good story and the animation style is absolutely wonderful.

Hellbound (Netflix) is also great. It's a Korean drama/thriller about a mysterious trio of 'demons' who turn up and drag people off to hell, and the (human) cult that springs up around them. It is violent in places but like a lot of Kdrama it has so much depth and interesting twists and turns.

Iamblossom · 17/04/2023 18:49

Not helpful if you don't have it but I binged Tiny Beautiful Things this weekend and loved it.

Iamblossom · 17/04/2023 18:49

Oops, on Disney +

BucolicBliss · 17/04/2023 18:57

We are late to the party with some eg
Happy Valley
Race Across the World both on iplayer

highly recommend Succession & The Last of Us (but on Now/Sky), Ted Lasso (but on Apple) - my faves on Netflix have been Locke & Key, Queens Gambit & Sex Education

Still to try Ozark and Get Shorty

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBaby · 17/04/2023 19:15

Definitely Night agent

electricmoccasins · 17/04/2023 19:17

I’m watching ‘Person of Interest’ on Amazon Prime free. Only on season 1. It started 2011 and ran for 5 series. Post 9/11 world / government surveillance.

GoodChat · 17/04/2023 19:20

We're watching Ozark at the monthly which is good

GoodChat · 17/04/2023 19:20

Moment not monthly lol

stepfordwifey · 18/04/2023 08:18

I've just binged Designated Survivor. Good drama based in the Whitehouse with Kiefer Sutherland. Found myself yelling, "Tell the President!" At the TV.

Iudncuewbccgrcb · 18/04/2023 08:20

Have you watched This Is Us and The Marvellous Mrs Maisel on prime yet?

waltzingparrot · 19/04/2023 08:39

RaininSummer · 17/04/2023 18:37

Does Colin from accounts get better as we watched one and didn't find it at all funny?

@RaininSummer I would say it does. I was recommended it and told to keep going past first episode. I stayed up till 2 in the morning to watch the last episode because I just had to know the ending by then.
