Where is the furthest North, South, East and West you have ever been?

South - New Zealand
East - New Zealand
West - Costa Rica

I was quite surprised by two of my answers. A lot of countries aren't where I thought they were in relation to each other.

North - Skara Brae, Orkney
South - Invercargill, New Zealand
East - Rotarua, New Zealand
West - Port Hardy, Vancouver Island, Canada

N Caingorms Scotland
S Philip Island Australia
W Oahu Hawaii
E Brisbane Australia

North - Norway

West: Ardnamurchan Point

I took my wife there, before we were married. We were in a hotel the night before the wedding and there was a truck show nearby; I got talking to a bloke and asked where he was from,

"Strontian, you'll never have heard of it..."

He was surprised that I had not only heard of it, been there and knew that Strontium is named for it. He called his friends over and they bought us a bottle of champagne!

Anyway....

North: Johan Castberg oil / gas field, 250 kilometres Northwest of Hammerfest.
East: Darwin, Australia.
South: Perth, Australia.
West: Cape Mendocino, California.

These threads give me serious travel envy.

North - Ben Nevis
East - Singapore
South - Punta del Este, Uruguay
West - Manaus, Brazil

North - Scotland
South - Argentina or Australia
East - Australia
West -Ecuador

North - John o groats
South - spain
East - Cyprus
West - not sure, whitehaven maybe?

But that's the same as any point on the earth? Anywhere is the furthest east or west from somewhere on that basis? We're all in agreement on what's the most north or south so surely the dateline qualifies as the east/west delineation.
