North - Norway
South - New Zealand
East - New Zealand
West - Costa Rica

I was quite surprised by two of my answers. A lot of countries aren't where I thought they were in relation to each other.

OP posts:

North - the north coast of Finland

South - Stewart Island, New Zealand
West - Tofino, Vancouver Island, Canada

(Not sure where to measure East/West from so am guessing)

Good point, I've also crossed the international date line but not sure being in an aeroplane counts

Yeah, good point. I realised as soon as I posted that that might be cheating. In which case,
Furthest East - probably Brisbane, Australia
Furthest West - Los Angeles

East - Jordan
West - Las Vegas
My east score is a bit rubbish but I’m going to Asia for the first time later this year 😄

Actually I forgot about Hawaii, that must be the furthest west I've been - have been to several of the islands but I think Kauai is the furthest.

As someone unthread has said, I've also crossed the international date line but not sure if that counts as I was in the air rather than going to a specific place!

East / West - as far as you can go as I have circumnavigated the globe and crossed the International Date Line.

That's a very good point, actually: going to Greenwich would qualify as the furthest east and the furthest west that you could go in the world!

No it wouldn't? It's bang in the middle?
