Any recommendations for things to do in Brighton for a weekend on my own? I like art and nice food and I want to go and see all the little independent shops in the North Laine area, just wondered if anyone knew any good things to do or places to eat? Im staying in Hove

Oh thank you! I'm vegetarian

Terre a terre restaurant is a must, especially if you're vegetarian, I'm from Brighton and its my absolute favourite, even meat eaters love it

In terms of art you are spoiled for choice with tonnes of little galleries , there is some lovely ones along the seafront and in the laines so you can just pop into some you like the look of rather than planning.

I'd recommend checking out both the laines (close to seafront, smaller cobblestoned ones) and the North laines for independent shops as there is some real gems in both

Look up Brighton food tours - they take you to loads of places and you get tasters. When we did it we were absolutely stuffed and tried lots of places we hadn't been to before

If the weather is good, the Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) is worth a visit - all sorts of performances such as comedians, music, plays and even wrestling! https://www.brightonopenairtheatre.co.uk/

Home - Brighton Open Air Theatre

BOAT is a 400-seat theatre nestled in Dyke Road Park, Brighton. We opened in 2015 for a few weeks in the summer, and have gone from strength to strength ever since.

Purezza is vegan; I've often been there for gluten free pizza. If the weather is good and the queue long, they will box it up to go so you can enjoy it by the sea.
