Anyone else awake for no reason?

I am not sure if I woke because I am a certain age or because my mind just cannot stop whirring due to overthinking or what the reason is but this is me, up and at em since 4.30am. I am about to make a second coffee and put on a load of laundry.

Anyone else?

I'm on round 2 of painkillers now, having a bit of a giggle at my OH asleep. Laid on her back with the duvet over her face, like a corpse.

It's the little things keeping me going this morning.

Ugh yes my alarm was going to go off soon anyway as I have to be up. I'm going to a big discount shop with my family which I love to do. Bargains ahoy. But hate that my mother insists we go so early. To beat others to the goodies. I can't drive myself at the moment and mostly housebound so this is exciting stuff to me lol. Anyway I decided to have a bit of extra time relaxing (read Mumsnet) instead of grabbing a few extra zzzz. It's gone too quick though. Time to get dressed.

I was awake for a few hour in the night worrying (urgent appt at cancer clinic tomorrow following a mole biopsy) and DH was having an annoying nights also where he was really noisy and kept dropping his arm on my head.

Planes then woke me up at 6, I grew up under the final approach to Heathrow but where I live now they’re not usually overhead unless there’s specific weather patterns. So I’ve been tracking them on flight radar and fantasising about going to where they’ve come from

And another day I woke ridiculously early for no reason. In bed asleep by midnght, eyes wide open at 4.18 and have not been able to sleep since. Guess thats it for me for today then.

Me too. I have been awake for a couple of hours, too hot, mind whirring and have now given up, got up and am drinking tea as it gets light outside.

I am thankfully working from home today so no commute which is good but already dreading not sleeping again tonight.

Day three of early mornings but I went to bed at a reasonable hour and DP was up at 5 for an early flight so I guess there was 'reason' to be up this morning.
