For me it's a Sunday evening when you have annual leave the next day...

Curled up on bed beside my dog and hearing her sigh in contentment and then start to snore. Melts my heart.

Sunday night when the house is tidy and there is no work tomorrow.

the sun shining through my house and everyone just happy to pootle around happily.

I love having cupboards nicely stocked nice things. It makes me feel very safe and secure to know that we have full cupboards. It makes me feel very sad to know that others won’t so I hold the secure, safe feeling and feel very grateful.

Hearing ‘I love you mummy’ from the dc. Coming home from work and realising the cleaner had been (from many years ago when we could afford one) so everything already clean and tidy.
Finding the toilet unoccupied when you REALLY need it quickly!

The email from the lottery that there’s news about my ticket.

I’m off tomorrow too (teacher). I had a heart swelling moment when DS(10) had stopped to help a younger child with his elbow/hand pads during his skateboarding lesson yesterday. He was so gentle and sweet! Made me almost tear up

Definitely got to be being out all day on my feet then coming home and kicking off my shoes and chilling out on the sofa... Bliss!

Back from when I was about 10

Waking up after the post-migraine sleep, with the hall light and getting-tea noises filtering upstairs, not being in pain.

I remember thinking that it was almost worth the three hours of headache and the throwing up. I was a strange child.

First time your with your new baby alone and can just stare at them in peace😍

The silence of all my kids being asleep and I can lie on the couch with snacks, netflix and a blanket without being used as a human trampoline 🤣

When I go in to kiss DD(5) goodnight and she opens her eyes and gives me the big delighted sleepy beam that just says “I love you” in the simplest and purest way possible. Absolute bliss. It has been a long and hard road for me to get to this point (awful PND/psychosis, the sudden death of her dad/my DH) but honestly, that moment makes absolutely all of it worthwhile.
