Where do you do (most of) your food shopping?

I currently get a delivery from Tesco every week, but with the minimum online spend increasing to £50 from £40, and the value of Clubcard rewards decreasing, I may reconsider.

I live near Lidl and get the odd bits, but find the fresh produce poor and not a lot of choice for vegetarians.

Tesco, it works out cheaper than Aldi or Lidl for us. I do get a few bits in Lidl in-between shops though just to change it up a little! M&S is only for special occasions here🙂

NoWordForFluffy · 30/03/2023 21:19

Sainsbury's for most stuff and Aldi / Asda / Iceland / Farmfoods for other bits.

Bodybags · 30/03/2023 21:20

Aldi.
it’s the only one we can afford.

About 80% during the weekly 'big shop' and the other 20% from a couple of mid week trips to M&S for 'nice bits'!

gegs73 · 30/03/2023 21:20

Lidl for our big shop we as we have found it cheaper than the others on the whole and have a big one near us. The quality of the fresh produce is not at Waitrose standard but we have found it be as good as Tesco or Sainsburys. We live near a high street so top up at various local supermarkets.

Furrybutts · 30/03/2023 21:10

Sainsburys and M&S

Incidentally, Morrison's now allow delivery if you spend £25

They also do a midweek delivery pass for £5 a month

fuzzbearpenguin · 30/03/2023 21:21

80% Tesco that was supposed to say!

inappropriateraspberry · 30/03/2023 21:22

Lidl. I find the quality and value great. Any odd things I can't get there I pick up in Tesco. Usually vegetarian stuff, weird ingredients for specific recipes etc.

snowbellsxox · 30/03/2023 21:22

Asda! Their rewards are fab too. Always nice, friendly and helpful staff on delivery

Mañanarama · 30/03/2023 21:23

Combination of Asda, Sainsburys, Lidl and M&S. Used to do it all in one superstore but as prices went up and variety decreased it got boring, so now we do smaller shops more frequently and mix it up a bit.

RandomUsernameHere · 30/03/2023 21:23

Tesco

Lostmummy5 · 30/03/2023 21:26

90% LIDL - it's definitely cheaper than Asda or Sainsburys
10% Aldi (we used to shop mainly at Aldi but their prices are ridiculous now, I'm going only to buy few things that our son loves)

MeanderingGently · 30/03/2023 21:26

Tesco, it's the nearest when I travel to our local market town, I don't do online shopping. It's also the cheapest for the things I want; I have never found Aldi or Lidl inspiring when I've visited stores, and besides, there aren't any close by.
I love M&S food but I can't afford it these days, and Sainsbury's is definitely pricier than Tesco now.

MarshaBradyo · 30/03/2023 21:27

Ocado and Sainsbury’s

redyellowpinkbluegreen · 30/03/2023 21:27

Tescos. Occasionally aldi

aibutohavethisusername · 30/03/2023 21:29

Waitrose & Lidl

Lyricallie · 30/03/2023 21:29

Lidl and very very occasionally Tesco. If they don’t have it in Lidl we don’t buy it. Except for paneer and Jacobs crackers. Everything else happy with the Lidl version.

NessieMcNessface · 30/03/2023 21:48

Combination of Sainsburys, Waitrose and Tesco. All three are very near me so I just keep an eye out for offers and then pop into each accordingly. Tesco has been a bit disappointing recently with its offers for the things I want, so I’ve been shopping more at the other two.

A27009D56 · 30/03/2023 21:51

Waitrose

DustyLee123 · 30/03/2023 21:52

Tesco.
The change to £50 with home delivery won’t affect me as my shop is usually around £100.

stanfro · 30/03/2023 21:55

Asda main weekly shop - Delivered

Aldi few specific bits - Dog food etc

Booths - Odd top ups

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 30/03/2023 21:58

Waitrose for food and Lidl for non-food and coffee pods.

DeathMetalMum · 30/03/2023 21:58

Aldi Tesco and Asda, first two are over the road from each other and Asda is on the way home. Bulk is from Tesco/Aldi and a few bits from asda. Dc and dp like certain cold meats from asda, and I'll pick up branded bits that aren't on offer at the others, cat food/ceral/coffee/tea all often have 50p/£1 off so makes the extra visit worthwhile. I've tried cutting one out or doing it on rotation but it doesn't work.

GreenMarigold · 30/03/2023 21:59

I alternate weekly deliveries from Asda and Sainsbury’s, and do 1 or 2 small top-up shops in the Co-op.

I live a 30 min drive from any supermarket so rarely actually go into one.

Inca22 · 30/03/2023 22:00

Ocado and Waitrose
