Very rich friend, 45, what do I buy her for £50?

It's my friend's birthday and she's just had a difficult time so I want to buy her a nice present, budget £50. But unlike me she is absolutely minted and has literally everything she wants, from expensive weekly flower deliveries and super expensive candles burning in every room to organic beauty products and £400 cashmere jerseys.

What on earth shall I get her? She likes yoga, eating healthily, riding, and dogs.

Nice wicker basket with some organic really nice bits?

Really nice fruit, chocolate? Nice cheese and posh crackers?

I got my daughter a where's Wally book but it was where's Wilson our dog and it was all personalised? It was about £15 I think? It's silly but if she has a dog she might like it.

Or a nice orchid in a pretty pot?

getafringenotbotox · 30/03/2023 20:32

I'm sure someone will be along soon with better ideas Grin

getafringenotbotox · 30/03/2023 20:32

What about an air up bottle?

They are about £50.

HeddaGarbled · 30/03/2023 20:33

Selection of books you think she’ll like.

Pip1402 · 30/03/2023 20:33

Could you take her out for lunch?

Starseeed · 30/03/2023 20:33

Magazine subscription
Spa treatment/voucher
Flowers/cake/chocolates
Anew healthy eating recipe book
Treat her to a meal or afternoon tea out together

Focus on the thought, not that she already has stuff!

declutteringmymind · 30/03/2023 20:34

Maybe do a class or experience? Pottery throwing, llama walking, goat yoga.

namechange0102 · 30/03/2023 20:35

I'd take her out for afternoon tea or something

Starseeed · 30/03/2023 20:36

Drive her to a pretty place/stately home for a day trip and lunch

northerngoldilocks · 30/03/2023 20:37

Not 'stuff' as if she wants things she'll have bought them - things that get used are generally better. If it was me I'd love some nice hand cream - something like Aesops

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 30/03/2023 20:37

Something personalised using an old photo of her. Or an old photo of the two of you

LizziesTwin · 30/03/2023 20:38

Go out for breakfast, always cheaper than other meals as no booze.

Macarons or some other pretty, high cost low quantity food.

SnowOnTheBeach1 · 30/03/2023 20:39

Some hot yoga taster classes? The ones near me have an intro offer for £15

A new yoga mat maybe

FernFairy · 30/03/2023 20:42

Just because she is minted doesn't mean you can't buy her something like a diffuser. This is my favourite diffuser, if you sign up for the 15% discount it is within budget.

Nice consumables are a good idea because most people don't want more 'stuff'.

Bamford Incense Willow Diffuser

Inspired by the English sky through the seasons, this beautifully fragrant diffuser housed in an elegant white frosted apothecary bottle will infuse your surroundings with a natural, continuous delicate fragrance.

PaniniHead · 30/03/2023 20:45

Something for you both to do together? You don’t need to spend money on something material. If she has been having a rough time then maybe some company doing something fun/relaxing would be preferable

I'd take her out for afternoon tea or something

Me too

BadForBusiness · 30/03/2023 20:48

Membership of local museum/independent cinema/theatre/garden etc. That way even if she doesn't appreciate it it's money well spent supporting a good cause.

Sandwidged · 30/03/2023 20:50

Take her out for a cream tea

yogaretreat · 30/03/2023 20:50

Why don't you book a lovely local soundbath and go for coffee and cake after?

yogaretreat · 30/03/2023 20:52

Sorry but I wouldn't buy someone who loves yoga a mat they haven't chosen... It's very personal! And if she is flush and loves yoga her mat was probably over £100 and they last year's.

cocksstrideintheevening · 30/03/2023 20:52

Go bowling or something random, bottle
Of Prosecco. I hate people buying me presents, I can buy me what I want, when I want. Time with friends is the way forward.

Lovelyring · 30/03/2023 21:03

Agree with time together.

Ticket to a local theatre production?

Talipesmum · 30/03/2023 21:06
