Is something big going on… conspiracy theory related

Thisisbig · 29/03/2023 10:41

Ok hear me out….

the following things have put me a little bit on edge:

  • emergency alert trial from government (yes I know it’s been spoken about for years)
  • a few asteroids flying “close” and reported in press
  • A few solar/planet events… eg holes in sun creating solar winds, northern lights being so far down south, weird planetary alignments
  • nasa being able to defect the path of an asteroid in the last 6 months
  • the constant threat of nuclear war
  • chatter a few months ago about weird spy balloons and possibility of aliens?!

I can’t help but shake the feeling that some people “higher up” know something that us little folk don’t know yet and that we are being primed.

I am fully prepared to be told I’m crackers! 🤣

The emergency alert trial is just that, a trial. Presumably they want to check that they can target an alert to a specific area so when they really need to use it (e.g. risk of flooding, power cut etc) they are confident it will work.

Asteroids are always flying 'close' to us, and as the detection methods improve it's hardly surprising that more are being picked up.

Solar flares are not uncommon and increase as the sun goes through it's well tracked 11-year cycle.

The threat of nuclear war is tiny compared to the 70s and 80s, guess what - those of us who went through survived.

The 'spy' balloons thing was over and done with in a week, no doubt it'll be 'spy dolphins' or something next.

The higher-ups couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery without help from people who actually know what they are doing, and the chance of them keeping it secret is pretty well nil.

Some of the posts on here remind me of the way my cousin spoke about things he knew that the ‘sheep’ ‘normal’ ‘unquestioning’ people didn’t. He understood what was truly going on. He was ready.
Scoffed at people with reasonable expectations.

He had a psychotic break which he’s never fully recovered from.

He was a deeply unhappy, deeply unwell man who needed conspiracy theories to make sense of how shit he felt about the world and his place in it. Needed confirmation that the world was as grim and he was as powerless in it as he felt.

There’s never a conspiracy theory that’s happy or positive or cute - all you truth seekers out there, telling us we don’t know what’s happening : why don’t you question why that is. Question who benefits from you being angry and adversarial and pitted against others?

I think these things have always happened but we’ve now got instant internet access and are being Governed by people with a complete inability to keep their mouths shut.

This definitely plays a part. There have always been deeply concerning things going on around the world that threaten our safety, but historically it would only be select things that were reported in a media which was more easily controlled. Now people can upload content themselves and access a ridiculous amount of knowledge and news in real time there's been a seismic shift in information sharing. There have been huge advances in tech as well, so the meteorites or whatever that are flying close to earth will have been happening for millenia; its just now we have the capability to track it, and in this information hungry world NASA is more inclined to report on it.

I have no doubt there's a tonne of stuff some people on this planet, in this country know but we don't- probably for the best really!

Verbena17 · 29/03/2023 13:37

Yes, there’s something HUGE going on 🙌
It’s called ‘there are many good people trying to save the world’s butt right now’.

Only the really cool thing is, the bad stuff already happened, the good people won and what the world has been watching for the past 3 years is a movie….playing out in slow time for those still fast asleep to wake up to.

They could not simply tell the People…..they had to show the People.
Think…..how do you wake up the entire world after decades of constant brainwashing? Some of the stuff that was happening was so evil, the
public will never be told.

Nothing can stop what is coming and you’re gonna love how this movie ends.

Here’s a clue to just a portion of what’s been going on….

There is one conspiracy theory I absolutely believe in - the cat distribution system.

There are known hubs for cat distribution (my friends garden is one) and as soon as the (psychic) message is sent that someone is in need of a floof, a cat will be sent via your nearest hub.

So we don’t get spooked, the cats often look grubby and hungry to distract us from questioning the system.

Ever noticed how quickly a supposedly feral outdoor cat acclimatises to a life of luxury?

Was never feral to begin with 🙀

Belief in conspiracy theories is correlated with psychosis, health anxiety, and low education levels.

Findings suggest that psychotic-like experiences are associated with beliefs in COVID-19 conspiracy theories, particularly perceptual abnormalities and persecutory ideation. Moreover, increased health-related concerns and reduced education levels also seem to be liability factors for these conspiracy beliefs.

Belief in conspiracy theories is correlated with psychosis, health anxiety, and low education levels.

The NHS, Politicians, police and charities must be well thick and ill then , as they believe in a conspiracy of people speaking biological truth as murderous bigots trying to kill Autogynophiles.

Irisheyesareshining · 29/03/2023 13:47

When Royalty suddenly leave the UK I will be more worried about the threat of nuclear war. The emergency alert for that is pointless and I wouldn’t want the last minutes of my life panicking so I am opting out !

knittingaddict · 29/03/2023 13:48

No. It's just another day on planet earth.

None of the things you list are that unusual or connected to each other in some sinister way. Conspiracy theorists see patterns in things that don't exist. I think you need to stay out of rabbit holes.

Dreamstate · 29/03/2023 13:48

Well I do find it odd how the news on these balloons and it being aliens ratcheted up for a week and then all of a sudden just dropped off the radar like a light switch had been flipped. Perhaps the 'balloons' and mysterious objects were foreign superpowers gathering intelligence and it was leading us to the path of a new war but it was averted. Its just the way it went from 0-60 in the news to basically no a single peek.

I do think calling people conspiracy theorists and are crack pot delusional people is a bit much.

Many people were saying about smart meters going to be used to introduced surge pricing tariffs and were told all those years ago not to be silly. Ignoring economy 7 which is a tariff people volunteer for. Here we are with Ofgen relaxing rules to allow energy companies to get ready to introduce it. Meaning hiking up pricing during certain hours because of demand and that is why everyone needs a meter. It wasn't lets have meters to help people. So those people back then who said this would happen aren't conspiracy theorists like they were being labelled.

Same with digital currencies - everyone is like who cares it nothing scary, until you realise they can use it as social credit system to take away some of your freedoms just because you were a perfect citizen. You might think well yes its in China it won't happen here but we look to Canada and see what's happened during and since covid and believe me wow never would of thought it would happen.

Slowly but surely our freedoms today are being eroded. They use nudge theory and we have lots of 'nudge units' to influence your decision and choices to the one they want which isn't always to our benefit.

As for the government isn't capable of x y z. Well maybe thats what they want to think to stay ignorant.

I mean look at Sadiq - we're introducing a ULEZ zone its only to ensure cars entering the zone are producing cleaner emissions. And what's only just come out now is that the data collected is being passed onto the Met police for other uses. So how we trust them when this is what they do.

So yes this is why people question everything because the trust levels are so damn low and we are shown time and time again that they say one thing and it means another.

Dodgeitornot · 29/03/2023 13:49

Tbh the UK is one of very few countries without an emergency alert system. It's quite weird they haven't had one for so long.

Antiquiteas · 29/03/2023 13:50

Babyroobs · 29/03/2023 12:02

Two friends early early fifties died suddenly last year, one heart problems, one a blood clot but both previously healthy. One with the blood clot was one of the fittest people I know, ran marathons etc. Another women who I knew from an internet help site died of brain bleed suddenly, friends daughter in thirties from a blood clot , one of dd's collegues in her part time job died suddenly brain bleed. CEO of my previous workplace died after short illness - mid fifties I'd say. I know people die suddenly, it just seems such a lot in such a short space of time when my social life and work circle is very limited. I don't have huge numbers of friends so is hard to get my head around so many deaths. I do find it worrying.

This is all very sad but very normal. Terrible things happen to people sometimes.

knittingaddict · 29/03/2023 13:51

Thisisbig · 29/03/2023 13:25

Re the planetary alignments it’s not so much that they are weird I guess but that the media are talking more about it (social media too) it’s like we are becoming more aware of stuff. Perhaps that is just because we all have phones and internet…

24 hour news. They've got to fill it with something. Again. not sinister.

Grin

You're probably right. The cat welfare organisations have been banging the neutering drum for decades, yet we have a seemingly endless supply of an animal with a lifespan of 15-20 years at most.

I said this as much to of one of ours when I found myself hand feeding him smoked salmon and cream cheese just months after he was found as a kitten with his sister and mother, apparently freezing cold and soaking wet, cowering behind a bin. That bin was one of the hubs. Now I get it.

@HappyHolidai i have a job thanks, and a pretty decent one too. And I have a degree. I’m not just sat at home posting on mumsnet 24/7

my job, life and study taught me to ask questions… even if they seem silly

If your job and qualifications have taught you to ask these types of questions, then - wow. It's not the curiosity/inquisitiveness/asking questions aspect that is the issue, at all, it is the type of questions you appear to be asking based on what your job/life have apparently taught you.😂

Dodgeitornot · 29/03/2023 13:54

@Babyroobs This is sad, but not uncommon. Very often once people make it past their late 50s/ mid 60s they live quite long. I can't remember what it's called but there's a word for that age range. It's the danger age.

Yes you're right it is likely due to age. It makes me fearful I guess as I'm also in that age category. I just feels like someone I know dying every couple of weeks, it just seems endless. It just seems like so much more than I've ever known before but like you say it's the age I'm at !

Snazzysausage · 29/03/2023 14:00

I don't know anymore than you do but I know what you mean. I put it down to being unsettled by Putin's sabre rattling and the combination of the after effects of the COVID pandemic, the economy squeeze and everything else going. I think people can dwell a bit longer than usual because of this on things in the news and think there's a pattern but it's probably because you're noticing them more.

EmmaEmerald · 29/03/2023 14:02

MyCatBakes how long are cats meant to live? I thought 15-20 years was normal?

There is a large increase in risk of blood clots, hence strokes, and heart attacks, also heart failure within 12 months of contracting covid. I was reading about a study on this the other day. It is a multi-organ infammatory disease.

ItIsFiat · 29/03/2023 14:05

And what is misinformation one week, is considered not the following. It was considered misinformation to suggest covid was from a lad leak back in 2020. Now there's been a change of tune, and its pretty well accepted that this is what happened. So that piece of "misinformation" was never that.

Vaccinated here, I was told that the vaccine would prevent me passing on covid, that was another NHS fabrication by right think parrots.

Money grabs in the guise of climate and net zero along with local councils forcing through LTNs and 15 minute neighbourhoods are things that concern me
