Do you walk in the pouring rain?

Just curious.

Yes I find it quite relaxing 😂

Deeplydevoted · 26/03/2023 20:34

I absolutely love going for a run in the rain. It makes me feel alive and free! Not sure why but it does!

nomoremerlot · 26/03/2023 20:35

Yep, love it..... dog not so much but she does join me!

GuyFawkesDay · 26/03/2023 20:38

Yep.

I own a Spaniel. Enough said 🤣

Iamblossom · 26/03/2023 20:40

No but I would run, as always shower and change after that.

Trurostocky · 26/03/2023 20:40

Yes because I live in Cornwall and if I didn't walk in rain I'd become a hermit! 😂

Yep this

I don't choose to go for a walk in pouring rain. I dislike umbrellas, which are pretty useless where I live due to the wind, and as a glasses wearer I find rain in my face a bit of a problem.

whoruntheworldgirls · 26/03/2023 20:43

Only the school run

Careerdilemma · 26/03/2023 20:53

Yup, I live in Britain, don't have a car, have kids, a dog and a job, so pretty unavoidable really.

Emdubz · 26/03/2023 20:54

Yes I love it!

scoobydoo1971 · 26/03/2023 21:09

I am rather fond of gardening, and I am not letting unpredictable British weather get in the way of my projects. I actually like heavy and cold rain as it makes me feel invigorated. This is quite a feat for someone as seriously ill as myself (various conditions causing disability). I am not so keen if there is driving wind as well, but a good shower makes the garden glow green and reminds me I am still alive.

wedonttalkaboutyouno · 26/03/2023 21:23

Yes, I love walking in the rain. Running in it is even better!!!

echt · 26/03/2023 21:56

Yes. The dog must be walked, and he adores it.

Lovelydaytomorrow · 26/03/2023 22:23

I think those who enjoy walking in the rain must have at least a porch or utility room to dry coats and wellies off, because it's not much fun at all living in a flat or 'two up, two down' when all of you get home with soggy things and nowhere to dry them!

Also, the whole getting kids back in the car after a wet walk I find totally unpleasant. Stripping puddle suits and wellies off, without getting the seats wet and muddy, then trying to get yourself into the front seat whilst leaving your soaking coat, boots and umbrella in the boot and being drowned in the run back to the front of the car. Then everything soggy in the boot has to be dealt with at home, as above... Nope, it's not for me.

@Lovelydaytomorrow No porch or utility here! Tiny 2 bed bungalow 😅 Coats get hung in the shower over the bath and wellies in the bath! Move them when I need to bath DC before bed and then hung back there overnight lol.
Car issues are solved by just walking from the house 😅 (I don’t drive though!) and admittedly, we live in a nice small seaside town with plenty of nice places to walk without having to drive to them.

Flatandhappy · 27/03/2023 08:54

When I lived in Europe yes of course because there really wasn’t much choice. Now I am in Aus I feel a bit cheated on rainy days and try not to 😂

Nannyfannybanny · 27/03/2023 08:58

Yes,dog again here. Did have 3, so no spare hand for an umbrella. Also very windy where I live. Some one once said "There's no such thing as bad weather,it's just inappropriate clothes".

alloalloallo · 27/03/2023 09:01

Only if I have to. I wouldn’t choose to go for a walk in the rain.

I have a dog, and horses, I spend more time than I like out in the pissing rain so it’s not my idea of fun

Workinghardeveryday · 27/03/2023 09:02

Wtf. No - it would ruin my hair

minipie · 27/03/2023 09:05

Only if I have to get somewhere. Never for fun.

This is one of the many reasons I don’t own a dog. We have a cat, who likes to stay inside and snooze when it’s wet. Sensible creature.

DivineAffliction · 27/03/2023 09:05

Yes. I don’t drive, and anyway I live in the city centre, so walk the school run and to work and anything else, as as I live in a damp part of the world, I’d be very limited if I were scared of rain. I have good boots and raincoats.

Nope. We live in a flat. However we do have a dehumidifier which is excellent at helping to dry out soggy coats/shoes/boots. Set it all up in the bathroom and it's all sorted.
